If you're a wildlife enthusiast, you'll be spoilt for choice. Cornwall's temperate waters attract dolphins and seals and there are plenty of skippered trips to see them without getting too close and disturbing their natural behaviour. The Cornish coast has even been known to host a whale or two, and even, on occasion, a great white shark!
As you're by the sea, you might as well plonk yourself on one of the stunning beaches in the area - Chidley Pumps, Trevone and Harlyn beaches are all worth a visit. Sporting types might like to try their hand at surfing and there are plenty of surf schools in the area. For those who've booked one of our holiday cottages in Padstow for the whole tribe, there are plenty of attractions for kids. The 'Obby 'Oss Festival Museum gives a superb insight into the eccentric side of Cornwall, while a trip to the National Lobster Hatchery is both informative and entertaining. If a cycle or a walk along the Camel Trail looks a bit too daunting, your little ones can still burn of some energy at the Camel Trail Adventure Park. Alternatively, Newquay Zoo is a great way to spend a day with the family.
