A fabulous 5 star property sat on a hill above the pretty village of Cartmel. This beautiful barn conversion offers spectacular views, and spacious, beautifully furnished accommodation for up to 10 people.
Set in its own spacious garden and surrounded by woodland and meadows, this luxury 5 bedroom, 18th Century barn conversion is located in the hills above the ‘medieval’ village of Cartmel.
The uninterupted views over the valley and across to the wide expanse of Morecombe Bay are truly spectacular.
Please note that we only rent our house for the following options:-
1. Full week from a Monday or Friday.
2. 2 night weekend from a Friday or Saturday in low season.
3. 3 night weekend of Friday to Monday.
4. 4 night mid-week break of Monday to Friday.
The only exceptions to this are some bank holidays and from mid-July until 1st of September when we operate with a Saturday changeover.

Cartmel Hill is beautifully presented and furnished to a very high standard with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Our prices are for groups of up to 8 guests. For an extra nightly charge a 5th bedroom can be used bringing the total number of guests to 10.
The main living space is on the 1st floor, to make the most of those magnificent views. This is a spacious sitting room with seating for 8 and large windows draw the eye out to the stunning views. Furnishings include a wood burner, comfy sofas, a large swivel chair, a large Samsung flat screen LCD ‘Smart TV’, Sky TV box and a DVD player
There is a large Shaker kitchen with handmade cupboards of ‘pippy oak’ and granite worktops. Fully equipped, you will find a large gas range cooker, 2 fridges, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. There is a table and seating for 4. The adjacent dining room has a large solid wood table, chairs for 8 people, a cast iron log fire and oak beams.
There are 2 upstairs bedrooms, including a spectacular master bedroom with king size bed and French doors leading to the venada where you can enjoy the stunning views again. This room also has an en-suite bath and shower room.
On the upper floor there is also a large bathroom and further cloakroom.
On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom has a king sized bed and an en-suite bath and shower room, the other has a super king sized ‘zip and link’ bed. This bedroom has a shower room and toilet opposite.
A downstairs 'chill out' games room has another large flat screen TV, game consol and an electric organ.
The 5th bedroom. when added has a king sized bed.
Outside there are 2 large garden areas, a large table and 8 chairs and parking for 8-10 cars. A new large, heated summer house has been added and this great extra space also has a large wine/beer cooler/fridge.
This is ideal for al-fresco dining if it's not warm enough to sit in the rest of the garden.
Cartmel Hill is a great place for holidaying with family and friends. All the main attractions of the Lake District are within easy reach and there's great walks from the front door
Take a railway journey along the beautiful Cumbrian Coast or jump on board the Haverthwaite Steam Railway to join up with one of Windermere’s ‘steamer’ services. History buffs have plenty to choose from - Holker and Levens Halls, Sizergh Castle and Holehird are a short drive away.
