This beautiful spacious holiday retreat has been converted from an original long barn and extended with the addition of a modern bedroom wing. The property also benefits from a leisure complex with indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a stunning single storey annexe with full disabled access.
The barn is fully sustainable using solar power and ground source energy. The property is surrounded by the lovely rolling green hillsides of the Wolds and there is an extensive footpath network leading to pretty villages, local inns and the National cycle route is just 2 miles away. Lincolnshire is a lovely county and boasts a plethora of locally produced foods.
Marris Barn can be booked together with our two other holiday cottages, Little Walk Cottage and Marris Cottage, to accommodate up to 24 people.
The accommodation consists of:
Large entrance hall, a utility room, a cloakroom, an open plan spacious mediaeval style hall with high beamed vaulted ceiling, large kitchen area and sitting area which has french doors to the glazed link room leading to the leisure facilities. There are 6 en-suites bedrooms across both the ground floor and first floor.
On the ground floor there are 3 twin/double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and a double Master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The first floor has another master bedroom with en-suite free standing bath, shower and walk-in wardrobes. The second Family room can be either a double bed plus 2 singles or 4 singles with en-suite shower room. All bedrooms have TV.
The leisure suite with changing room/WC/sauna and indoor swimming pool, mini-kitchen area/bar for making hot and cold drinks with a fridge, sink and slimline dishwasher, and games room with 2nd large TV, pool table, table tennis and dart board. There is a south-facing terrace with a hot tub and BBQ.
There is wheelchair access to the ground floor of the main barn via a ramp adjacent to the steps to the main door.

There is underfloor heating in all areas and the buildings are environmentally friendly with ground source heat pumps, pv and solar panels, heat recovery and a rainwater harvesting tank.
The Wagon Shed - Annexe:
A one bedroom single storey building specially commissioned for disabled access, but is an ideal romantic retreat for couples. Features include, a garden room with french doors to the terrace, open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. Bedroom with twin 3' zip and link beds making a 6' double. Ensuite very large bathroom/WC with additional wet room section. A smooth ramped pathway joins this accomodation to the main barn. NB: There are low beams that may be restrictive for some hoists (please contact for more information if required).

Lincolnshire offers a paradise for antique lovers with Horncastle's many shops, Hemswell centre and International Fairs at both Newark and Lincoln. Lincoln itself makes for a fantastic day out with mediaeval streets, world renowned cathedral and castle and a lively waterside area. Lincolnshire's coast is a mixture of sandy beaches with popular coastal resorts and wild shorelines. Wild seals can be seen on the beaches in November and December. The National Fishing Heritage Museum in Grimsby is 12 miles distant and The Deep - undersea aquarium in Hull is 30 miles away. The National Trust offers Gunby Hall, Tattershall Castle, Belton House and the beautiful Burghley. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is in Coningsby 30 miles away. Golf (5 miles), Sailing (10 miles). Fly fishing available locally. The local shops are 4 miles away and the local Pub is just 1/2 mile away.
