On the ground floor there is a dining room with solid fuel stove, and a sitting room with an open fire, both great for taking it easy at the end of the day either relaxing over a tasty meal, vegging out with a movie on the TV or curled up with a good book. There is also a well-equipped kitchen with dining area where you can prepare a tasty feast, and then move into the sunroom with a refreshing drink at the end of the day. Step outside with a glass of wine and take a seat looking out over the Celtic Sea while the youngsters run around the garden, or take a stroll down to the beach and go for a quick dip. Carrick is a quick jaunt down the road and has a few pubs where you can grab a drink and a bite to eat. Alternatively, a little further away is Wellingtonbridge that should tend to all of your basic needs. Travel a bit further and see the likes of the Hook Head Lighthouse, the Dunbrody Famine Ship, the Duncannon Fort, New Ross, Waterford and Wexford. Carrick is a small village, with a shop, three pubs, a hairdresser’s and a guesthouse, in County Wexford, on the east coast of Ireland. Half an hour by car will take you to the cliff top village of Rosslare; with the second largest harbour in Ireland and panoramic views of Rosslare Bay, it is well worth a visit.
