This charming detached Norfolk hideaway is owned by HM The King. Nestled within the heart of his much-loved Sandringham Estate, this country retreat is the closest estate property to Sandringham House itself, and exudes appreciation of the great outdoors and the beautiful gardens it sits within. As the former residence of HM Queen Elizabeth's head gardener, the gardens are a sheer delight and provide a superb setting for this idyllic house.
Garden House offers charming and relaxed accommodation for eight guests set over two floors. There is a choice of super-king or twin beds in two bedrooms (please specify on booking) The functional kitchen boasts an Aga and there is a comfortable sitting room overlooking the gorgeous garden, which is ideal for relaxing. As well as the formal Walled Garden with its wonderfully stocked beds and borders in which the property sits, there is a more informal garden where you can relax in and children and dogs are safe to run and play.
Within easy walking distance of the Sandringham Visitors’ Centre and the Sandringham Café & Coffee Shop (providing high quality, locally sourced menus), guests are able to enjoy a stroll around the Country Park, with over 200 hectares to enjoy in all. Children will love all the free space to roam as well as the large Adventure Play Area. With all this on the doorstep, you may forget that you are only a short drive to the stunning North Norfolk beaches, an area surrounded by beautiful, poppy-rich meadows, fields of lavender, quiet lanes ideal for walking and cycling plus many quintessential English villages, complete with pubs and duck ponds!

Please note that there is no travel cot supplied at the property
Up to three dogs are welcome, but should be kept on a lead when walking through the formal fully-enclosed Walled Garden - they are free to roam in the more informal garden. (Small additional charge)
There is no access to the stud paddocks at the bottom of the Walled Garden (clearly signed "Do not pass").
This property has a private water supply.

What a perfect and beautiful location - and such a lovely memory in this absolutely stunning house. The gardens were gorgeous, the privacy was valued, and the entire experience was beyond our expectations. Everything was as described - and we can't thank you enough for making this the best vacation ever! No detail was overlooked - each room was clean, welcoming, and a place where we made memories with dear friends. Wish I could give this 10 stars! Thank you so much!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem schönen Haus. Es gab ausreichend Platz für 3 Generationen, die Betten waren bequem, die Heizung funktionierte gut und man konnte gut duschen. Die Hauslage ist super, mit Auto kann man vieles innerhalb von ca. 30 Minuten erreichen, einkaufen in 3 Minuten im Nachbardorf. Leider hatte Sandringham Estate noch geschlossen, als wir da waren. Ein Grund, noch mal wieder zu kommen!We had a great time in this beautiful house. There was enough space for 3 generations, the beds were comfortable, the heating worked well and it was easy to shower. The location is great, you can reach many things by car in about 30 minutes, shopping in the neighboring village is just 3 minutes away. Unfortunately Sandringham Estate was still closed when we were there. A reason to come back again!

We liked our stay! Sandringham Palace was unfortunately not open during our stay but we enjoyed some nice afternoon tea at the Sandringham restaurant. The gardens and the grounds were beautiful. The host was great, super responsive and helpful. Would recommend!
