The owner has gone to a lot of trouble to make it a really comfortable with everything you may need. Highly recommend it - we’re already looking to book for the autumn.

The kitchen is well equipped and we ate together around the large table everyday, and sat and shared about our days, and played games. So that was the focal point of the house for us. The downstairs bedroom was really cold; the radiator didn't work well and it has outside walls on three sides. There was a lack of wardrobes / chests of drawers in most bedrooms, which is a pity, though the ensuites were really good. The track up to the house is no longer rutted; it is fairly good. There was just one place where a drainage channel crosses where it is very uneven. But we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent heating.Everything at and including the cottage is excellent and the gorgeous quiet location is perfect. Well stocked log basket in the living room for real fires was well used. The quality of the access track could be better for cars (rough stone chips) but I guess it’s mainly farm vehicles that use it but it would be a worthwhile investment as would a re-cover of the bobbly snooker table cloth. A new flat hard wearing cheaper grade cloth would improve that facility immensely.
