Take a wander around the pretty town of Bakewell trying out it's famous Bakewell puddings, explore stately Chatsworth House, only a short drive away, or the National Trust property, Hardwick Hall, slightly further afield. Buxton, a popular spa town based in the heart of the Peak District is not far from the farm, boasting magnificent architecture and an array of shops and gorgeous scenery, perfect for a day trip. Foolow village is a pretty and very traditional limestone village with many beautiful walks. In the centre of the village is a picturesque duck pond where you can sit and watch the world go by or enjoy calling into the local village pub. There s plenty of attractions and things to do in the surrounding area. Why not bring your bikes and enjoy the endless country lanes and railway cycling trails like Monsal Dale or the Tissington trail. The cottage welcomes you with open arms as you enter through into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Observe the character of the old oak beams, sink into the comfort of the cushioned sofas in front of the wood burner s gentle crackle as the underfloor heating also warms you. Flick on the TV/DVD to watch your favourite soap, a film or just relax with a good book.
