From the town, stroll along the River Otter or head to the nearby beauty spots of Hembury Hillfort or Blackbury Camp. For a day at the seaside, journey to the idyllic coastal town of Lyme Regis (15.5 miles), where you can hunt for fossils on the beach, play in the arcades, and eat fish and chips on the promenade.
