Having been extended and renovated, the property is more than just a house and offers a truly impressive range of home comforts. The living space has been well thought out and gives the opportunity for socialising whilst also providing more chilled out spaces to give guests the best of both worlds. The sitting room is sumptuously appointed with an inviting seating area and patio doors opening onto a gorgeous sun terrace so visitors can soak up the captivating sea views. The sleek and contemporary kitchen is a pleasant space in which to cook up a storm and the central breakfast bar helps to make it a wonderfully sociable area. Leading off from here is a stylish dining room all set up for guests to enjoy their culinary experience and spend time eating, drinking, chatting and generally getting into the holiday spirit. If the weather allows then the outside sun terrace is a great place for eating and socialising alfresco with those gorgeous views on show constantly. After a busy day of holidaying, it’s good to know that there is a welcoming bedroom to lay your weary head from the ground-floor king-size and twin to the magnificent master suite which comes with its own delightful roof terrace, as well as a twin and even children’s bunk beds to complete the boudoirs. For families on holiday in the area, this is a splendid base from which to discover the delights of Dorset. Charmouth itself is beautifully unspoilt and is located within an Area of Outstanding Beauty so there are photo opportunities at every turn when you’re exploring! The kids will love the Tunnel Tree Tops zip-line and aerial adventure park which is just a short drive from Charmouth as is the Tunnel Target Sports Centre shooting range and sports centre. Forde Abbey and Gardens is well worth a visit and there are also the Beer Quarry Caves near Seaton and Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens which are activities the whole family can enjoy. For a family holiday to remember Yarrow is the perfect destination.
Charmouth is an unspoilt seaside village, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a fantastic beach world renowned for its fossils on the famous Jurassic Coast.

The wardrobes and drawers were hard to open and keep closed, but I didn't use them anyway. We weren't expecting a gardener to turn up to cut the grass - but it wasn't an issue for us as the weather wasn't good enough to enjoy the outside area anyway. I could smell a damp smell from one of the upstairs bathrooms upon arrival but I really don't see these as negative points as it didn't affect our stay whatsoever. I didn't want to come home!

High points: fab location, fab view, easy to get to, easy parking for 2 cars in the drive, lovely welcome bag with local tasty treats and milk, plenty of space for 8 adults, clean and simple decor, good deck, washing machine, fancy linen (down duvets and pillows--luxurious but no good if allergic). Low points, minor but do detract from the experience, and hopefully easily sorted to make the experience perfect: the wifi is nearly non-existent and it took 15 minutes for a show to load on the TV (with no one else using the wifi); the beds were notably uncomfortable with springs poking and achey backs in the morning--even the teens noticed! The beds are mentioned in several reviews and we'd been hoping the other guests were more sensitive, or they'd been replaced, but not yet. No spare loo roll obvious, no paper towels, no sugar. Would be great to have some hypo-allergenic non-down pillows and duvets tucked away for those who are allergic to down.

It is perfect for families with children and a pet. The property just needs a fix up re the items mentioned by previous visitors, oven instructions, door repairs, (patio and ground floor toilet). Cafetiere pot was missing, which is a shame as we had delicious coffee in our welcome pack. We bought one locally. I did email Lyme Bay, but no response received, however this is a minor issue. There also appears to be a couple of water leaks. The rubbish collection and recycling arrangements were also an issue for us, bins were not emptied and we had to leave bagged rubbish in the house when we left. That aside, we wouldn't hesitate to book again if staying in the area.
