It was very comfortable and warm. The main room was a great space for a family and it was also nice to have a second sitting room for those wanting a bit of quiet time. The garden is lovely as well. It was a shame the weather was a bit too changeable to enjoy in full but was lovely to look out onto. We came in a family sized car and found it a tight squeeze to get onto the drive through the entrance and extremely difficult to back out of especially with the high pavement outside. So much so we parked on the road. It is a short walk to the local beach and within walking distance to the village. There is a lot to do in the area especially for those like us like the outdoors. Only a couple of minor issues, a dining chair needed to be mended underneath and the dishwasher handle on left side is in danger of coming off. The property was a bit musty but think that was to do with it not being lived in all the time and it was early April. All in all a great stay in a good property.

...however it was very badly let down by very poor standards of cleanliness. The main living area in particular had clearly not been hoovered nor dusted and all the windows, on the inside were grubby with hand and finger marks. We had to clean the windows before we could enjoy the lovely garden views. We had to report a broken hinge on the patio door which meant that we could only access the garden via the external gate, making it a bit less convenient for us to enjoy the sun trap outside in the garden. I would point out that the previous occupant also mentioned cleanliness and a musty smell as issues....who monitors the cleaning contract?
