About this property

Resting in the bustling town of Winchcombe in Gloucestershire is Primrose Cottage, a well-positioned three-storey dwelling. Located within the Cotswolds AONB, the cottage offers picturesque walking trails and vantage points, with shops and a pub just yards away. Featuring flexible sleeping arrangements and a well-equipped kitchen, the cottage welcomes six guests and one well-behaved dog, perfect for friends and families alike. Prepare meals for your self-catering stay in the sleek kitchen, featuring a dishwasher, induction hob, and microwave, before travelling to the homely dining room, completed with a feature fireplace and bright seating. If you'd prefer to be outdoors, dine alfresco in the suntrap patio, before clearing up and relaxing in the inviting sitting room. Discover the contemporary bathroom, offering the ideal place to unwind with an evening soak, or a refreshing shower come morning. The first floor is completed by a king-size bedroom, whilst the second-floor houses a twin room (zip/link, can be double on request) and a double, offering flexibility for your entire party. Upon morning, grab on your walking boots and venture into Winchcombe, where you'll find an array of amenities to take advantage of, including many shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. Within proximity you'll also arrive at Winchcombe Museum, the grand Grade I listed Sudeley Castle, and Charingworth Court gardens. Reaching Cheltenham, enjoy tours of The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, opt for an afternoon stroll along the stunning boating lake of Pittville Park, or head to the renowned Cheltenham Racecourse, hosting various events and race days. Dotted across the Cotswolds are quaint villages, nature-filled activities, and ideal birdwatching platforms, including Cotswolds Falconry Centre; travel into Gloucester to experience city life, where you can tour Gloucester Cathedral and take in the beauty of Gloucester Docks. Enjoy all of this, and more, at Primrose Cottage.

Midway between Cheltenham and Broadway, the thriving Fairtrade town of Winchcombe, a conservation site, is located above the River Isbourne. Visitors can browse the unique selection of local stores along the town's three main streets, which still have plenty of charm thanks to their honey-coloured stone and timbered exterior or try a tantalising assortment of regional fare in the town's restaurants, wine bars, tea shops, and delis. Farmers' markets, country events, and music and arts festivals are also held in the town. Throughout the summer, guided tours of the town are offered, and Winchcombe is ideally situated for walking of all levels because it is where the Cotswold Way, Gloucestershire Way, Warden's Way, and Windrush Way converge.

Beautifully done however the couch wasn,t very comfortable also not sure you could get 6 in the lounge. Rest of the place was wonderful.

There are a some of safety issues that I think need attention: There needs to be bannister on the left hand side of the main stairs to first and second floors and at least one bannister to the 5/6 stairs to the bedroom on the first floor. Very dodgy without anything to hold onto, especially at night when having to use the toilet. There was no anti slip mat in the shower and no bath mat for the floor.

Beds are super comfy and the shower is great! A couple of small drawbacks - the living room is small and the seating (which only really seats four comfortably) could be more comfortable. The two attic rooms didn’t have blinds in the dormer windows - a bit of a problem in the summer unless you’re happy waking up very early!
