This location is perfect for walkers, rock climbers and mountain bikers as you can explore the Black Mountains, Elan Valley, and Shropshire Hills whilst the River Wye and local anglers' club offer the opportunity for fishing, boating, kayaking and canoeing all offering outstanding scenery no matter what the season. A well stocked farm shop is just 1.5 miles away from the cottage, along with a choice of traditional pubs with menus of locally sourced seasonal produce. Visit one of the many Herefordshire villages and market towns, including Hay on Wye (10 miles), famous for its book shops and festivals, and Hereford (10.5 miles) with its cathedral, Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. There are many National Trust properties, including The Weir Gardens, Croft Castle and Berrington Hall to name a few. The cottage is one of two traditional estate cottages formally part of the Garnons Estate, steeped in history with a black and white exterior and enjoying breath taking views across the countryside from the gardens. The cottage has a traditional storm porch offering access into a small lobby with space for coats and boots, there is also a ground floor cloak room with WC. From here guests can access the lounge, spacious with a generously sized corner sofa perfect for relaxing with friends in front of the wood burner, there is a Smart TV for a good film. This space also benefits from a small study area that s great for checking emails. From here you can access the rear of the cottage, a light and spacious kitchen diner, finished with a contemporary style and enjoying great views across the open landscape. The contemporary styled kitchen offers everything you would need for your stay, along with a breakfast bar for a morning coffee. A generously sized table and chairs with low lighting is great for a celebration supper. Upstairs guests have the choice of three bedrooms, all finished with soft linens. A king size room with en suite shower and WC, a king size zip and link that can be made into twin beds on request when booking, and a twin room. There is a family bathroom with separate shower, bath and WC. Outside the cottage has a terraced area with circular table, chairs and a parasol that lends well for summer dining, the views and sunsets are spectacular, a charcoal BBQ for the chef amongst you. A small, enclosed lawn is also available for private use for you and any dogs. There is private parking for two cars.
