About this property

Resting at the heart of the coastal, East Yorkshire town of Withernsea, just a brief car journey south from the North York Moors National Park, lies this charming, five-bedroom holiday property, The Old Station House. Boasting great positioning to nearby amenities, as well as an array of well-presented interiors, this delightful stay welcomes a large family or group of sharing friends who are looking for a fun-filled, self-catered escape to one of Yorkshire's most sought-after seaside destinations. After you've unpacked your belongings, make yourself at home in your lovely new home-from-home. Step into a well-equipped kitchen/diner, complete with a breakfast bar, and all the appliances you or the chosen chef will need to rustle up a feast for the whole group. After you've polished off your meal, take time to kick back and relax, either in the plush sitting room to enjoy a film or two on the Smart TV, or in the rear garden where you'll find an outdoor bar and a hot tub! As day rolls into night, retreat to refresh with a long, hot shower or an indulgent bath on your way to settling down for a well-earned rest in one of the home's five bedrooms. If you fancy exploring your local area, rally the troops and take a walk into Withernsea, where you can embark on a peaceful walk along the setting of the Withernsea Central Promenade, head to the Withernsea Lighthouse Museum to brush up on some local history, or even practice your golf swing at the Withernsea Golf Club. Be sure to stock up on essentials at the Tesco Superstore before you head back home, and why not grab a fresh loaf and some baked treats from Cooplands, or a takeaway from The Golden Haddock if you fancy a break from cooking one evening. A day trip to Hull is also worthwhile, with attractions such as the Streetlife Museum, the Hull New Theatre, and amazing The Deep Aquarium are waiting to be enjoyed. Book The Old Station House for the ultimate escape to East Yorkshire.

Withernsea, a well-liked beach community, is located in Yorkshire's East Riding. This charming coastal retreat offers a laid-back vibe and is ideal for family getaways. The town's flat, agricultural surroundings provide some breathtaking vistas and a wild, windswept atmosphere to clear the cobwebs! A Napoleonic stronghold, a large nuclear bunker that offers award-winning tours, and a lighthouse that is now a museum are some of the historical attractions in the nearby communities. The three-mile-long, spindly, and eerie Spurn Peninsula can be found further along the coast. Withernsea's sand and pebble beach has a majestic entrance like a tower, plenty of wonderful fish and chip cafés nearby, and more. Withernsea has two shops for your convenience, a classic promenade, gorgeous gardens, children's playgrounds, and entertaining attractions like amusements.

The location is great - just a few minutes walk to the beach via lots of handy shops, bakeries, pubs etc. It made it so easy for our large group with children as we could nip back & forth to grab things we needed instead of lugging everything around all day. The hot tub & BBQ were great. Well stocked kitchen with lots of nice things included to help ourselves to (eg fancy coffee machine) It even had the same air fryer that I have at home! The pool table was very popular. This property could be booked along with the property next door for a larger group as there was a locked adjoining door and locked gate separating the gardens. The owners were very kind and let us check out at midday which made packing up in the morning a lot more relaxed. I would definitely return.

Great location close to the beach. The older ladies of the family, felt that the sofas could be replaced in time, as the cushions were not comfortable. But over all a lovely enjoyable stay and lovely family home.

Was a bit disappointed with the standard of cleanliness, ensuite wasn't very clean, mirrors were streaky, food left in fridge, overall it needed a good clean.
