Roslyn has been renovated to provide bright contemporary accommodation throughout, thoughtfully furnished with your comfort in mind. The fully fitted kitchen has an oil Rayburn as well as an electric cooker. There is plenty of room for family breakfasts, and there is a separate dining room and a breakfast area in the kitchen. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor as well as a family bathroom, ideal for less mobile guests. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, which have been well presented with colour coordinated soft furnishings and sumptuous beds.

Roslyn is situated on the renowned North Coast 500 route, arguably one of the most scenic road trips, encompassing wild countryside, spectacular coastlines, numerous villages, small towns and historic places of interest along the way. There are superb coastal walks right on the doorstep, as well as ancient castles, archaeological sites and places of interest all within a short drive. For wildlife enthusiasts there are puffins, cormorants, seals, dolphins, whales, deer and pine marten all seen in the region. There are good facilities in the small village of Bettyhill, including two shops (one of which includes a post office), hotel, café, restaurant and even a swimming pool. Golf, fishing, kayaking, sailing, cycling, horse riding and hill-walking are all local pursuits. Beach ½ mile. Shops, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Stayed at Roland for two weeks this September. Could not have asked for a better cottage. It was clean ,warm and well stocked with the most amazing view. Amanda is an excellent host who was very helpful and accommodating. The cottage itself is well placed to explore the north coast and beyond. The hotel is a short stroll for a meal out and dogs are welcome. Cannot speak highly enough and would recommend to anyone who wants a fantastic relaxing holiday.

First visit to Highlands but will be back. Bettyhill and surrounding areas are spectacular, once you get use to the narrow roads haha.Cottage is lovely, very well equipped and clean, the owner Amanda was very helpful and the welcoming gifts were thoughtful. We had a wonderful week and plenty of room for 5 adults.Only a few very minor points... Only 4 garden chairs (although there is a picnic table and bench) bath towels are extremely small (even for the slimmest person of the group) and... Personnel preference but we felt there were too many ornaments were the surface space was needed esp in the bedrooms and hooks on doors for wet towels would be useful too. Finally that stunning beach right by the house isn't easily accessible without driving (or walking a good trek if you are able) BUT I don't want this to be a negative post, we would definately stay in the cottage again, it is a perfect base.
