Robert, Teresa and Sam invite you to experience life on a real working farm and share this tranquil part of the Peak District where you can take a holiday in our comfortable cottages and camping barn. We run a mixed farm with 350 sheep lambing from March to early May. Families return year after year to watch the lambing. (so book early to avoid disappointment). Children are most welcome to help feed sheep and bottle feed lambs under adult supervision. Shortly after lambing our suckler herd begin to calve and guests can see young calves running around the fields and if lucky may see a calf being born. We have a friendly sheepdog, four cats and free range hens. Children can collect eggs. Just come to see us at the Farmhouse and we will gladly show you around the farm.

Framed by ancient copper beeches our farmstead nestles at the foot of Wetton Hill surrounded by miles of rolling countryside. With dale walks from the door and major visitor attractions within easy reach Gateham Grange is truly a unique holiday retreat. Spend peaceful days photographing, or painting views of our beautiful countryside and our farm is a haven for birdwatcher. Relax in the splendour of Chatsworth House or spend a day to remember at Alton Towers

Located at the farmstead the cottages can be booked together to accommodate friends, larger families and groups of up to 12 people making them an ideal venue for family gatherings and special occasions. Our basic camping barn also sleeps up to 12 and can be booked separately or along with the cottages if extra room is required. (See our website for further details and photos of our camping barn)

"Great place, great weekend"

We went as a group of 11 and hired out both cottages at Gateham Grange. We thought the cottages were very reasonably priced, set in a great location, very clean, exceeded expectations … in summary we had a lovely stay there for the weekend. We'd definitely go back if we head out that way again.

“Absolutely fabulous!”

I booked both cottages to share a birthday weekend with 7 friends. The scenery is breathtaking, the cottages clean, beautifully decorated, bags of character, I can't think of a bad thing to say! Mrs Flower did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. I will always look back on that weekend with great affection, and these cottages only added to what was my 50th birthday celebration to make it truly special.
