Overlooking the North Devon coast is Higher Mullacott Farm, home to three wonderful cottages, which are only a short drive from the beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton.

Open all through the year, Aggie's and Dolly's are two very pretty barn conversions finished to a high standard, and able to accommodate up to 6 or 11 guests individually, or 17 when booked together. During the summer holidays the large Farmhouse is also available to book either on its own or with the other cottages. Comfortably sleeping up to 10 in 5 bedrooms, this traditional Devon long house is great for family or group holidays.

Dolly's Barn sleeps up to 11 plus a cot in six bedrooms, and is a lovely barn conversion, which has maintained many of its original features, including wood beams, sloping ceilings and exposed stone walls. Downstairs there is a large open plan living area split into a comfy lounge featuring big comfy sofas and an open fire for chilly winter evenings; a well-equipped kitchen with everything you will need for cooking simple family meals to five course banquets and a dining area, which sits at the heart of the room.

The six bedrooms at Dolly's are split over two floors, with a downstairs double with en-suite wet room ideal for those a little unsure of the stairs. Upstairs are a further five bedrooms, which include a double with en-suite bathroom, a single, two twins and a large Master Bedroom in the former hayloft, which has a king-size bed and en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

The 17th century Farmhouse has only recently been fully refurbished into a stylish and elegant home-away-from-home. This bright and airy, tastefully decorated farmhouse features original flagstone floors in its large open plan kitchen/diner, which is perfect for a family or group get together with its large wood table to seat up to 10. The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with a built-in electric oven, as well as a classic range cooker. A comfy sofa and flat screen TV is also located in the kitchen, while the separate utility room houses the washing machine and downstairs cloakroom. A few steps up from the kitchen at the farmhouse is the lovely spacious lounge with lots of sofas and cushions centred around the flat screen TV and inglenook fireplace.

Like Dolly's, the Farmhouse has bedrooms on two floors. These include a downstairs double with vaulted ceiling and en-suite shower room, a big Mast Bedroom with wood beams, views over the garden and en-suite shower room, a standard double and two twins, which share the large family bathroom.

Aggie's is our smallest cottage, sleeping up to six in three bedrooms. This pretty barn conversion is full of charm and character and ideal for families looking for a little privacy. The cottage has a lovely open plan living room with kitchen, dining area and lounge, which has a comfy corner sofa adorned with bright scatter cushions. The living area at Aggie's is fully of period features lovingly maintained during its renovation, including thick wood beams and Marland brick flooring.

Wood steps from the lounge lead to a lovely double bedroom featuring dormer windows and en-suite bathroom with original roll top cast iron bath. Downstairs are the other two bedrooms, a lovely very pretty twin and a double with king-size bed. Both these bedrooms have shared access to the the large family bathroom with shower.

Whilst staying at Higher Mullacott Farm, guests will have full access to 3.5 acres of grounds, which not only have wonderful views stretching out across the countryside to the Atlantic Ocean but are also home to a children's play area, featuring football pitch with goals, swings, slide, climbing frame, basketball hoop, swing ball, table tennis and a volleyball/badminton net. Each individual cottage also has its own terrace and garden, where you can enjoy alfresco meals or a summer BBQ.

Higher Mullacott Farm is ideally located for exploring the local area. Within walking distance of the cottage is Cook Island, a family friendly pub with outdoor garden, and a small shop selling day-to-day essentials. Ilfracombe is less than two miles away and is perfect for day and evening visits with its wide range of shops and restaurants. The town's harbour is definitely worth a visit and is home to artist Damien Hirst's statue 'Verity,' as well as his restaurant and art gallery. You can also hop on board a boat to Lundy Island.

Other places within a half hours drive, include Barnstaple, Lynton and Lynmouth and Exmoor.

Getting married at Tunnels Beach in Ilfracombe, why not book one or more of the cottages at Higher Mullacott Farm for the wedding party or some of its guests? We have helped provided accommodation for many brides and grooms, as well as their friends and family, and would love to be part of your celebration too.
