Mews Hill, Criddlestyle Cottage, and Riverside Lodge are situated less than 1 mile from the pretty river fronted town of Fordingbridge.
Mews Hill is a 5 bedroomed chalet which can sleep up to 11 adults in total comfort. A bright and spacious interior with modern and comfortable furnishings. Criddlestyle Cottage is a cottage style 5 bedroomed single storey property, sleeping up to 10 adults. Riverside Lodge is a newly built cedar clad lodge set back on the River Avon enjoying far reaching views across the countryside. The lodge also has a Tipi adjacent to it offering an additional two guests the camping experience whilst utilising the facilities at the lodge. Available during the summer months.
The properties occupy the same private entrance and are conveniently located on the fringe of the New Forest National Park. The properties can be taken as a group, offering total accommodation for up to 25 +2 guests. Discounts apply please ask for more information.
A 15-minute walk via a bridleway leads to the Sandy Balls holiday complex with its excellent facilities, including a large leisure centre with a pool, bike hire, pizza restaurant, family pub, and spa.

Mews Hill - Accommodation:
Very large sitting/dining room (with dining table seating up to 22) wood burning stove, 50" TV with Sky package and DVD player leading to conservatory.

Garage on the ground floor houses a table tennis and foosball tables.
Outside: Large fully enclosed south facing garden mainly laid to lawn with a patio, garden furniture, barbeque and 10ft enclosed trampoline. Garage has a table tennis and football table with storage for bikes and fishing tackle.
Criddlestyle Cottage - Accommodation:
Split level & beamed sitting/dining room with patio doors, 42" HD TV and DVD player and large 8KW log burner stove.
Kitchen/breakfast room with electric hob and double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, filter water tap, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and breakfast bar.
Spacious beamed bedroom 1 with king size sleigh bed, Freeview TV and en suite use, if required, of a bathroom.
Bedroom 2 with twin single beds and en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.
Bedroom 3 with double bed, small Freeview TV with DVD player and en suite use, if required, of shower wet room.
Bedroom 4 with double bed and small TV with DVD player.
Bedroom 5 with adult-sized bunk beds.

Lounge & Dining
Wood burner in lounge / diner / kitchen area. Bi-fold doors onto a large verandah on the lake and overlooking the river. Wooden floors with underfloor heating and high ceilings.

Bathroom 2 double shower (also accessible directly from outside for the tepee)
Garden Picnic table, barbeque, seating log store, plus a garden shed for fishing tackle storage
There is an adjoining 2-acre paddock with stabling for 2 horses on a DIY basis and fishing is available on a nearby private stretch of the Hampshire Avon. Pricing details on request.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: If the New Forest National Park itself is not enough there are plenty of other attractions nearby.
Salisbury Cathedral is 20 minutes drive, Beaulieu Motor Museum and Exbury gardens are only 30 minutes away and the wonderful beaches of Bournemouth and Poole are also only 25 minutes away. Paultons Park adventure park is 20 minutes drive.
The renowned Three Lions restaurant is literally just around the corner and there are approximately 10 pubs within 10 minutes, most of which serve excellent food.
For shopping, Fordingbridge is a pretty small riverside town only one mile away with a good range of shops including a large CO-OP. For a more extensive range, Ringwood is 10 minutes drive and has a large Waitrose and Salisbury and Christchurch is both about 20 minutes drive in opposite directions.
The Hampshire Avon offers some of the best coarse fishing in the country as does the nearby Dorset Stour. There is also excellent game fishing in the nearby Rockbourne fishery and further afield on the Itchen and Test.
For the extra charges already quoted, you can have 110 yards of the Hampshire Avon to yourself. Five excellent and varied swims suitable for expert specimen coarse fishing. The Hampshire Avon offers some of the best barbel, chub and roach fishing in the country and on this stretch barbel have been caught up to 14lb 10 oz and roach to 3lb.
Immediately adjoining this stretch of river, is the Sandy Balls estate, where it is possible to fish a further 1/2 mile stretch on a day ticket available from the Sandy balls cycle hire shop, for £10 pp per day. Please note that to fish both stretches, you must have a valid rod license
GOLF: Within 15 minutes drive is the renowned Remedy Oak and within 10 minutes drive is Bramshaw golf club with its Manor and Forest courses. The Forest Course is the oldest course in Hampshire and offers a unique experience where you literally play amongst the ponies. Within 30 minutes drive is many other fine courses including, Ferndown, Stoneham, Parkstone, Broadstone, Hamptworth, Queens Park, Meyrick Park, Brockenhurst to name but a few.
If you are considering organising a golfing trip and you are new to the area please contact the owner who is a keen golfer and has played most if not all of the local courses and would be happy to help.
