The restoration of Barnacre Cottages has been a real labour of love for owners Terry and Sue Sharples. Rescued from dereliction, these former C18th farm buildings have been transformed into multi award winning, luxury, self catering holiday cottages. With the addition of the contemporary designed Mole End and Woodpecker Cottage, this charming private hamlet has been transformed into the perfect retreat for your holiday.

On the edge of Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and set in 12 acres bordered by woodland - this is a haven for wildlife. The views are simply stunning, looking across the beautiful Lancashire countryside towards the coast and the Lake District.

For those wishing to more than just relax, the wild splendour of the Forest of Bowland makes magnificent walking country and opportunities for outdoor pursuits abound. Close by is the pretty market town of Garstang, with its weekly market on the High Street. The ancient city of Lancaster is just a 20 minute drive. There is easy access to the M6 and the Dales and the Lakes are only 45 minutes away.

The cottages themselves are tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and appliances and with great attention to detail. The cottages are all centrally heated and have wood burning stoves and designer kitchens. The Old Stables, Mole End, The Piggeries and Woodpecker have Aga cookers.

Mod cons include: Sky TV, fridge, separate freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, Sky TV, video, CD player, iron, ironing board and hairdryer.

All the cottages have wide doorways and raised electrical sockets. All except the Piggeries have ramp level access to the main entrance.

There is an onsite all-weather tennis court, please bring your own equipment.

Woodpecker Cottage (sleeps 15)
With wonderful views towards the coast and the Lake district, Woodpecker Cottage offers luxury self catering accommodation for up to 15.
