The house itself features snooker, table football, bar skittles, shove ha’penny, backgammon WiFi , HiFi, etc., and outside there is a walled garden, field, green oak games barn, badminton, croquet, BBQ, tree house and swing. Hot tub by arrangement.

You can choose to cater for yourselves or pick from 4 different chefs who regularly cook in the house including one Michelin trained and a South West “chef of the year”.

Within easy reach there are pubs, cider farms and restaurants to suit all tastes from the Lord Poulett Arms in Hinton St George (National Dining Pub of the Year) to the Dinnington Docks famous for once being part of the Chard and Ilminster Canal.

To the south of the property are the rolling hills of Dorset and to the north are the fascinating moors and Somerset levels. This is a great area for walking, cycling or exploring. A mini bus can be arranged to visit some of the beautiful historic houses nearby including Montacute, Barrington, Lytes Cary or Forde Abbey, take you to the coast at Lyme Regis or Charmouth for sea fishing, tour the cider farms or just return you safely from the pub!

Some guest comments:

“What a fabulous house for all 21 of us to celebrate our Mothers 80th birthday! Great walks in beautiful sunshine and back to cuddle up in front of the fire! We shall return. M

“What can we say? We have had the best possible time in your lovely house. The welcoming sight of the gorgeous scones, jam and cream were just the start of a very special weekend. Thank you. The house is so cosy and comfortable and yet also large enough for a happy gathering of friends. We cannot wait to come back. All our guests have loved staying here (many for the second time) and we’re all planning a return visit as soon as we can think of a good excuse to celebrate! Thanks again! SP

“Thank you! Yet again the peace and serenity of this lovely house has enchanted and relaxed us all. “ EG
