Set within a 900 acre estate is Emmett's Grange a stylish Georgian manor house with lots of charm and character perfect for group celebrations, as well as large family holidays. As the highest farm on Exmoor, Emmett's enjoys unrivalled views across the National Park, clean fresh air and wonderful star gazing opportunities. An onsite games barn, stabling and tennis court also help to keep adults and children alike entertained.

The sunny morning room is the first room you will discover on entering the traditional hallway. It is here that you can relax on the window seat admiring the views or try your hand at playing one of the many instruments, including a Steinway piano, guitar and trumpet. The Victorian styled conservatory is a lovely, bright and spacious room, perfect for casual meals or watching TV and a Wii games console is also provided. Double doors lead through to the large and very well equipped country kitchen featuring double fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Aga. A separate Butler's pantry complete with bar area is where the grown ups can enjoy evening drinks away from the children.

On special occasions there is no where better to enjoy a 5-course meal than the dining room, which has an open fire and long antique dining table that easily seats up to 15. Catering is available on request if required.

Comfortable chairs and big sofas in the grand Drawing Room are the best place to relax after meals, as well as the TV there are wonderful views and an open fire. Other ground floor rooms to enjoy, include the library with its vast array of books, a small pool table, an antique bagatelle table and a good selection of board games. There is also a separate office ad utility room.

Upstairs at Emmett's Grange there are six wonderfully grand bedrooms. The first is the en-suite Knight Room with its king-size bed, which can be split in to twins if needed and an additional single bed, which can be used by children or adults. Along the corridor is the Fortescue Room with beautiful four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom, the Darby Haddon twin complete with private bathroom, the Josh Brown, which has zip and link beds and finally the Bunk Room with pretty white wood bunks, which can be split into two singles if required. The Josh Brown and Bunk Room share the large family bathroom, which is fitted with a bath, WC and wash hand basin. At the end of the corridor is the Nursery, which is an ideal bedroom for youngsters with two single beds, a full set of bunk beds, comfy sofas and a TV.

Two additional guests are also welcome to enjoy the privacy of the Linhay, a pretty studio annexe ideal for couples. The Linhay features its own private kitchen, cosy living and dining area, en-suite bathroom and double bed. There is also a terrace area with table for watching players on the tennis court.

To the front of Emmett's Grange is a large lawned area ideal for playing games, and the views of Exmoor are breathtaking. Tables and chairs are provided for alfresco dining and a BBQ is great for warm summer months. Also, at Emmett's Grange is a traditional vegetable garden, tennis court and games room with table tennis, snooker and skittle alley.

If you love walking or horse riding you have 900 acres to explore at the Grange, which are solely for your use when staying at Emmett's. Stabling is available onsite, so please feel free to bring your own horse and dogs are also more than welcome.

Emmett's Grange is ideally located for exploring both Somerset and Devon. Less than a 15 minute drive from the Grange is the pretty twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth. Here is where Exmoor meets the sea. The privately owned beach at Lee Abbey is also perfect for families with its rock pools and stream providing hours of fun for children.
