Travel on to Killala at the mouth of the River Moy and enjoy Ross Beach. Explore Downpatrick Head nearby, and marvel at Dun Briste, a spectacular sea stack lashed by Atlantic waves. Close by is the coastal town of Enniscrone, with its golden sands. Visit The Ceide Fields, a unique Neolithic site of world importance, towering over majestic sea cliffs. Ballina is in County Mayo, on the River Moy, well-known for salmon fishing. There is a variety of pubs, shops and restaurants and attractions including St Muredach's Cathedral and the Céide Fields, the most extensive stone age monument in the world. The town hosts festivals through the year including music, theatre, art, heritage, culture and novelty events.

It is a wonderful place, very well equipped with everything you need, and more! Mary & Michael are fantastic hosts, living just up the road should you need them, other than that the place is totally yours during your stay and is very much âhome from homeâ

Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, and was fully equipt with everything you can think of. The cottage is only 10 minutes from Ballina but in a very rural setting making it lovely and quiet. They also lit the peat fire for us before we arrived as it was very cold Would definately stay there again and reccomend it to others.

Clean and comfortable, well equipped and more spacious than it would appear from the photos. It suited our family of 2+3 perfectly. The cottage is in a good location, convenient to the town of Ballina which itself is worth spending time in but also perfect for exploring Mayo. It was our first time in the area and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to the owners Michael and Mary who were very welcoming, and gave us lots of useful suggestions for places to visit. Thank you!
