The nearby village of Milltown actually lies across the border line from the cottage in the county of Galway, on the main road to Galway City. A community of very proud residents, Milltown is home to a variety of amenities, including a shop, a restaurant and a pub. Ballindine boasts three local pubs, one of which serves bar snacks and dinners, plus a local restaurant and shops, and a short drive takes you to Claremorris, where you can enjoy a lovely walk around Clare Lake. Within easy reach are the stunning sights of Connemara, Lough Mask and Lough Corrib, while the cobbled streets and traditional pubs of Galway City are only 30 miles away, where you can experience culture and tradition at its finest. Situated 30 miles north of Galway City is the village of Milltown. The village is home to a riverside walk, children's playground, tennis courts, picnic area and pubs. Within driving distance is the Lough Mask and Lough Corrib lakes, which are ideal for fishing and boating, plus the village of Cong and Ashford Castle are to be found between these two lakes. The Connemara National Park and the Aran Islands are also well worth visiting. Milltown is in a delightful location for visiting many places of interest.
