The Coach House is a charming attached cottage located in the pretty Cornish village of Menheniot, only a short drive to the popular coastal towns of Looe and Polperro. The cottage was built around 1870 and has been refurbished retaining many original features.
Internally, the property offers a wealth of character and is beautifully furnished throughout with exposed stone walls and wood beams. Externally, the cottage sits within three acres of grounds and offers the ideal space to relax. The property is ideal for families with a children’s play area, complete with tree house, zip wire, swings and trampoline. There is even an outdoor swimming pool that is only occasionally shared with the owners to cool down in on those hot summer days.
Menheniot is a small village that features a shop, pub and also benefits from a mainline train station. Plymouth can be reached within 30 minutes; here you will find a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes.
For those looking to explore the stunning south coast of Cornwall; Polperro, Looe and Downderry can all be reached within a 30 minute drive.
The swimming pool is available from 1st May - 30th September annually and is only shared with the owners in the adjoining property

... daughter, son-in-law and 10 year old grandson, we were greeted with a very warm welcome from our hosts Richard and Tessa. The property and surrounding land was outstanding. There was a lovely area in the garden with table and chairs and a hammock that was superb to sit and eat and just chat and chill! The younger ones in the family made use of the swimming pool and zip wire, which in its self was hidden within a tree house. Even the old mining chimney made an interesting feature! The coach house itself was lovely and there was more than enough room on ground level especially with the separate dinning/lounge/games room (pool table). The bedrooms were comfortable and quirky with exposed beams within the roof quarters. The property had everything we needed for the time we were there. Any negatives were too miniscule to bother mentioning. All in all, we all had a thoroughly good holiday and huge thanks to Richard and Tess. Submitted by Chris on 08/08/2016

...quite a trip by car from Germany - we got the recommendation to book with bluechip. Going through the different pages of available houses soon revealed The Coach House at Menheniot. Booking was easy and convenient. When we arrived it was even nicer than in the photographs, and Tessa and Richard gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. The cottage has all one could possibly need, it's very well cared for and Tessa and Richard were always helpful if necessary. It was one of the loveliest holidays we ever had, and being in this cosy and beautiful cottage was really relaxing and just what we needed. It's a place we recommend to those who wish to have a quiet time, far from city noises but close to all the interesting places to visit in Cornwall, and there are plenty! We both were sad to leave, we shall miss this place with all the friendly neighbours : Tessa, Richard, the cats, the dogs, the chickens... :-))) Submitted by Viola on 20/06/2016

...really enjoyed our stay. The place is fantastic for children with the amount of space they have to run around in and keep them entertained. The property is very spacious and well looked after.
