Next to this is the utility with a freezer and washing machine. All of the rooms boast a pleasant outlook of the rural exterior spaces, each to be viewed from the cosiness of inside. Stroll out to the patio where you can take a seat and soak in the natural atmosphere, and if you manage to tear yourself away for a while, head into the market town of Brampton, a beautiful place to visit, rich in history with a local amenities to indulge. For avid walkers and nature enthusiasts, Talkin Tarn Country Park boasts 120 acres of farmland and woodland to take in alongside a 10,000 year old glacial lake. The market town of Brampton is the ideal base for exploring Hadrian’s Wall. In the centre of the town is Moot Hall, which was built in 1817, and now houses the Tourist Information Centre, and there is a large motte to the east of the town, which is 135 feet high and has the statue of the 7th Earl of Carlisle on it. A few miles outside Brampton is Talkin Tarn Country Park, covering 120 acres of farmland and woodland. Two miles away is Gelt Woods, which is an rspb nature reserve and has the River Gelt running through it.

    Len runs a very busy sheep farm and it's good to watch his sheep dogs at work. The only thing that would stop us returning next year would be our health, all being well we willl return again.
