Being so close to the branch railway line its a shame not to hop on board and take a journey across the bay to the lovely seaside village of Arnside. Alternatively, drive the few miles to Cartmel in order to browse the charming shops, or you may wish to dine out in style at the famous LEnclume restaurant. Younger guests will love the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway which links in with the Windermere Steamers that take you up Lake Windermere to the bustling towns of Bowness and Ambleside in the beautiful Lake District National Park.
