About this property

Warren Cottage sits at the end of a small terrace of three, with lovely views across country fields and farmland and distant sea views from the first-floor bedrooms. Located at Little Dartmouth Farm the property sits a mile or so above the historic naval town of Dartmouth and is just a few minutes’ drive from the village of Stoke Fleming. Dartmouth's array of boutiques, restaurants and tea rooms, as well as the picturesque River Dart are all accessible within a lovely 30-45-minute walk (or about 5-10 minutes in the car) whilst the award-winning Blackpool Sands beach is just a short drive away. Woodlands Leisure Park and Dartmouth Golf and Country Club are just 3-4 miles outside of Dartmouth.

The main entrance leads into a tiled lobby with views over the garden. A further door leads into the open plan living area, a spacious, sunny and very well-presented room with oak flooring and views across the garden. The sitting area has two three-seater sofas, table, flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, iPod docking unit and wood-burning stove (logs supplied). At the other end of the room is a dining area with table and chairs to seat six comfortably. Double doors open fully to reveal a large tiled hallway off which is the stylishly presented and well- equipped kitchen. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and door through to the cloakroom with w.c.

The en suite master bedroom (second floor) has a King size bed, bedside units, fitted wardrobe and shelving, widescreen TV and delightful country views. The adjacent shower room has a walk-in cubicle (with large rain head and separate hand-held showers), vanity unit with marble worktop, w.c. and heated towel rail. On the first floor are two further bedrooms each with views over the farmhouse grounds and sea beyond. One bedroom is a double with wooden framed bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, drawers and chair, whilst the second is a twin with two divan beds.

To the front and side of the cottage is a good-sized area of private lawn with steps down to a gate and access to the coastal path. To the rear is an area of paved sunny terrace with oak table, six chairs and Weber barbeque available on request. Parking or up to two cars on the 'green' lane at the rear of the cottage.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.

Beautiful views of the coast as we walked down into Dartmouth along the cliffs. Cottage well equipped and the welcome pack of fresh produce was very welcome. Beds and linen very comfortable good powerful shower. Lovely well kept garden front and back. Comfortable garden furniture on patio. Good 2/3 car parking at back of property . Owner called on us to check we had everything we needed and said they were available if we needed them as they lived close by. Wonderfully chilled couple of nights in this gorgeous coastal cottage highly recommend.

From the moment we walked in and saw home gown veg, eggs and even sausages, we felt at home. The Cottage is spacious, fully equipped and very comfortable throughout. The garden is beautiful to sit in and relax. Parking is easy. We were blessed with fantastic weather all week too which made it all in all an exceptional holiday. We will be back!

It’s a lovely property with immaculate gardens but I have to say that we found the seating very uncomfortable. The home grown produce, eggs , vegetables, and sausages was very welcome. It’s a very quiet spot and apart from the occasional walkers we didn’t see a soul all week. We would have liked to have seen the owners garden which according to other guests are beautiful but maybe we should have arranged this in advance. A washing line or whirly thing would have been useful even though there is a tumble dryer. An upgrade to a smart TV and maybe seat pads for the dining chairs as they are very hard. An excellent area for walking and very close to Dartmouth. I would recommend the park and ride which is 5 minutes away £5 as it’s not always easy to find a parking spot in the town. All in all a lovely place and would thoroughly recommend ( but not for someone with mobility problems like my husband, who wasn’t with us, as there are several steps around the garden which has three gates all of which have steps to the front door and also third bedroom is on the second floor. )
