Welcome to The Victorian Barn, a collection of picturesque holiday homes, barn conversions, apartments, cottages & Lodges on a family run 65 acre estate in the heart of beautiful Dorset. Set in peaceful, rural surroundings between 2 pretty villages, The Victorian Barn is the perfect base to explore.
It is within easy reach of the Jurassic south coast & counties such as Somerset, Devon, Hampshire & Wiltshire and not far from the Isle of Wight & Brownsea Island.
The perfect location for a cycling or walking holiday.
Superb shared onsite leisure facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, private hot tubs, games room, activity suite & fishing lakes plus we offer super fast Wi-Fi throughout. There is also a fantastic country pub called The Ibberton within 1 mile that serves amazing food. As well as other local pubs and restaurants.
The Victorian Barn is perfect for families or groups of friends for holidays, celebrations or for a relaxing countryside retreat.
STYLISH BARN CONVERSION - Victoria & Albert (sleeps 10 - 14)
Victoria & Albert is a stunning, spacious property with fantastic socialising and dining areas, perfect for families or groups of friends for holidays, celebrations or for a relaxing countryside retreat. The property sleeps 10 - 14 guests within 5 sleeping spaces and is an attached property.
Victoria & Albert is situated on the north wing of The Victorian Barn and benefits from 3 spacious lounges (one with your own private bar area! drinks not included), 2 fully fitted kitchens, 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms & lots of outside space (patios & gardens) perfect for Al fresco dining, games & enjoying the sunshine.
The sleeping arrangements consist of 2 king bedrooms, 2 family bedrooms with double and single bed in each room to sleep up to 10 guests. There are 2 sofa beds within the ground floor lounge to accommodate a further 4 guests. Making 5 sleeping spaces in total.
All bedrooms benefit from wall mounted flat screen TV’s and fitted wardrobes.
The lounges contain sumptuous sofas and first floor and ground floor dining areas. The fully fitted kitchens have lots of fridges and freezers plus dishwashers, washing machine & tumble dryer for guest’s convenience.
From 2021 this property will have its own Hot Tub.
ELEGANT HOLIDAY HOUSE - Helena with hot tub (sleeps 8)
Helena is a bright & spacious house situated on the west wing of The Victorian Barn.
The property benefits from 4 en suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 8 guests within 2 king bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms. All bedrooms benefit from wall mounted flat screen TV’s and fitted wardrobes.
The ground floor boasts a light and airy kitchen including a dishwasher and has a tiled floor. There is also a large centre dining table and seating for 8 guests. The spacious lounge has a 4ft wall mounted mirror, ceiling lights and soft wall lights, plus comfortable leather sofas & a wall mounted 50" SMART TV with many Apps including Netflix and Amazon Prime (own account required). The lounge also has coffee tables and there is a ground floor WC for guest’s convenience, leading off from the kitchen.
Outside there is a sunny patio and large picnic bench and a hot tub for your sole use and enjoyment!
Victoria & Albert can be linked via a private lobby area with Helena to sleep up to 22, perfect for large family gatherings.

Leopold is a bright & spacious house situated on the west wing of The Victorian Barn, offering superfast Wi-Fi throughout.
The property benefits from 4 en suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 8 guests as follows, 1 king bedroom, 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms. All bedrooms benefit from wall mounted flat screen TV’s and fitted wardrobes.
The ground floor boasts an enormous kitchen including a dishwasher and has a tiled floor. There is also a large centre dining table and seating for 8 guests. The spacious lounge has ceiling lights and soft wall lights, plus comfortable sofas & a wall mounted 50" SMART TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime (own account required) Apps etc. The lounge also has coffee tables and there is a ground floor WC for guest’s convenience, leading off from the lounge.

Beatrice is a magnificent, spacious property situated on the east side of The Victorian Barn. The property benefits from 4 en-suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 guests as follows, 2 king bedrooms, 1 king bedroom with additional single bed and 1 triple bedroom with 3 single beds. All bedrooms benefit from wall mounted flat screen TV's and fitted wardrobes & two of the bedrooms have quirky ceilings and Velux windows.
The ground floor boasts an enormous open plan lounge with wall mounted flat screen TV, large comfortable leather sofas and bucket style chairs plus coffee tables.
The dining area has a vast wooden dining table with Oak leather chairs for 10 guests. There is also a ground floor WC for guest’s convenience. The fully fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher and has a tiled floor.
Outside there is a patio and large picnic bench and a hot tub for your sole use and enjoyment!
COLLECTION OF SPACIOUS APARTMENTS - Granary, Byre & Hayloft (sleeps 13) These are attached properties on the south wing of The Victorian Barn, perfect for families who would like their own space in addition to a communal area (the Granary) for socialising all together.
The Granary is a spacious two storey, two bedroom apartment, sleeping up to 5 guests.
It has two first floor en suite bedrooms. One double and one triple bedroom with three single beds, both bedrooms benefit from wall mounted flat screen TV's and fitted wardrobes.
There is also an additional ground floor bathroom.
The large open plan ground floor offers a comfortable carpeted lounge with sumptuous leather seating, coffee table and wall mounted 42" SMART TV with lots of Apps including Netflix & Amazon Prime (own account required) plus a fully fitted kitchen including a dishwasher with tiled floor. There is also a large farmhouse dining table. The Granary offers unlimited super-fast WiFi throughout. Great for watching movies or listening to music.
There are two entrances for the Granary, a stable door into the kitchen area or double doors into the lounge. These lead onto a sunny patio with a picnic bench.
The Byre, has a contemporary feel and is a spacious ground floor apartment sleeping up to 4 guests.
There are two en-suite bedrooms, a double and twin which benefit from wall mounted flat screen TV's and fitted wardrobes.

The Hayloft, is a first floor apartment with private access via an external spiral staircase, sleeping up to 4 guests within two en suite bedrooms, a King and Twin. Both bedrooms benefit from wall mounted flat screen TV's and fitted wardrobes.
There is a spacious open plan lounge with 40” flat screen TV, comfortable leather suite and coffee table. The vaulted ceiling with chandelier gives a wonderful feeling of space and a light and airy feel.
The fully fitted kitchen has an electric double oven cooker, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, separate freezer, toaster and kettle. There are plenty of pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery. In the kitchen area there is a pine table which can accommodate 4 with comfortable chairs.

These are semi detached contemporary cottages with spacious socialising and dining areas for your whole party to enjoy. The cottages stay warm and cosy thanks to the added benefits of underfloor heating throughout and there is also the modern convenience of unlimited super-fast Wi-Fi throughout.
Jasmine, sleeps 7 and benefits from 3 en suite bedrooms, comprising 1 family room with king bed and single bed for 3 guests, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom.
There is an open plan lounge and dining area with a 50" SMART TV with many Apps including Netflix and Amazon Prime (own account required), opening onto a patio.
Outside the sunny patio has a large picnic bench and a hot tub for your sole use and enjoyment!

These are semi detached, ground floor conversions with their own private gardens and views towards Bullbarrow Hill.
The Lodge, sleeps 4 and is a charming, open plan, ground floor apartment, converted from an old stable barn.
The property boasts lovely period features and Oak beams as well as the modern conveniences of underfloor heating and unlimited super-fast WiFi throughout.
The Lodge has a side and rear garden with sunny patio and garden furniture with amazing views towards open countryside.
The Lodge has a double bedroom and twin bedroom plus fitted wardrobes. There is also space for a cot within the double bedroom.
There is a family bathroom with shower, sink and WC.
The Lodge has a spacious open plan living area has 2 conformable leather sofas, flat screen TV and DVD player. The kitchen has a tiled floor free standing electric cooker, washing machine, microwave, and refrigerator with small freezer compartment, toaster and kettle.
There are plenty of pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery. The kitchen area has a round pine table with seating for 4. The lodge has large door ways making it ideal for the less able.
The Stable, sleeps 4 is a quaint & cosy apartment There is one double bedroom & one twin bedroom, both with fitted wardrobes. There is a family bathroom with shower, sink and WC.
There is an open plan lounge and kitchen with underfloor heating. The lounge has a comfortable leather sofa & chair plus TV & DVD player.
The kitchen has a built in electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator with small freezer compartment, toaster & kettle. There are plenty of pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery. There is also dining space within the kitchen.
Leading on from the kitchen there is a spacious conservatory with amazing views. There are also comfortable furnishings and dining furniture within this room.
Also to the rear of the property there is a patio with garden furniture and a hot tub for your sole use and enjoyment!
