There are great places to visit with attractions such as Go Ape, Puzzlewood, Dean Forest Steam Railway, Dean Heritage Centre, Clearwell Caves and the Sculpture Trail, all ideal for couples or families. The cathedral city of Hereford, Monmouth, Chepstow, Gloucester and the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye are all within a short drive. Or if you would prefer, use it as base camp for the many outdoor activities the forest and surrounding areas has to offer. This is an ideal location for you and your children as there are so many activities on offer from abseiling to horse riding, downhill or cross country mountain biking to name a few. Maybe you could try a spot of fishing at one of the many local trout ponds or fish the River Wye for salmon. Bream is a village in Gloucestershire, England, situated in the Forest of Dean. The village dates back to the Iron Age, when iron ore was being mined in the area. Offering a range of local pubs, restaurants and convenience stores. Positioned between the towns of Lydney and Coleford, the village is set on high grounds. Boasting a wonderful historic 16th century church, which was later reconstructed in the early 19th century.
