About this property

Built in the 1930s by Lord Croft as a wedding present for his daughter, the Hall is a grand gentleman's residence set in beautiful North Herefordshire countryside, with a commanding position on the fourth fairway of the golf course.

The Hall has undergone a total renovation and is available for Short Breaks, Special Celebrations, Family Gatherings, Weddings, Stag & Hen parties, Golf Breaks, Conferences and other Corporate Events all of which are on an exclusive use basis.

The Hall is situated in the beautiful Herefordshire Countryside in a small village called Bodenham. Bodenham is on the A417 just North of Hereford between Leominster and Ledbury. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1,024. Herefordshire borders the counties of Shropshire in the north, Worcestershire in the east, Gloucestershire in the south east, the Welsh preserved counties of Gwent in the south west and Powys in the west.

Herefordshire is a very rural county best known for its fruit growing and cider production in particular. When Celia Fiennes visited Herefordshire in 1696 she saw a countryside in which apple and pear trees were growing everywhere 'even in their corn fields and hedgerows'. Modern agriculture has put pressure on the ancient orchards in the county but many of them still survive today providing a habitat for the rare noble chafer beetle. Herefordshire's county flower is the Mistletoe.
