The pictures really don’t do justice how beautiful it is. We had a wonderful week away, the property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was the perfect base to explore the surrounding areas. The owner is super friendly and communicated so well. We’d love to come back in the future.

On departure day we searched around to look for owner to inform him of the issues we were concerned about and we also left a letter on the table in Muncaster View. I have today sent a text but to no avail. The following issues were of concern to us: 1. The shower tray did not drain (first bedroom opposite front door) 2. Mixer tap in kitchen area was coming away from its base and we were worried that it might come away altogether and cause flooding 3. Only 1 window could be opened in the property. All the others were sealed shut. 4. The telly was far too small for the size of room and far too high on the wall. We were unable to view the screen properly and could not read the subtitles as the screen was so high up. 5. The freezer compartment of the fridge was dirty. 6. The open fire despite having lots of coal and kindling didn’t have any paper to light it. 7. Toilet seat in second bedroom was very loose and could have caused injury. We both feel that the amount of money paid for 3 nights for a cottage with so many problems was very overpriced.

This was very inconvenient with a 10 month old baby. There were a lot of cobwebs that should have been cleaned up before we arrived. There was mildew on one of the quilt covers. The DVD player and TV remote didn't work. The water didn't drain away properly from one of the showers. The fridge freezer was not especially clean and sometimes froze food in the fridge section. The redeeming feature was the washer drier.
