The garden at Rose Farm is perfectly maintained; a lawn comes with a lovely little beck, which can be viewed from a delightful gravelled seating area. A short walk takes you to the village pub, Dacre is dominated by its idyllic castle. A wealth of popular tourist destinations rest nearby, such as Ullswater, Penrith and Pooley Bridge. Rheged is 3 miles away, where there is a 24 hour garage, excellent supplies including local produce 24 hours a day and also Reghed Centre offers an imax cinema, cafes and restaurants. Incredible scenery can also be enjoyed nearby with a number of walking and cycling opportunities. A splendid cottage perfectly located for touring the Lake District.

Dacre is a village in the Lake District National Park among countryside. The village has a castle and a pub serving food, with shops in nearby Penrith. Dalemain, a historic house and gardens is close by and hosts the World’s Original Marmalade Awards. Ullswater is on the doorstep, as is scenery towards Glenridding and Patterdale.
