There are some incredible places in this area of the Lake District National Park, with Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere and Kendal all nearby and offering a great range of things to do and see for everybody to enjoy. A village nestled in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Chapel Stile is a gem at the bottom of Langdale Valley, flanked on one side by the River Brathay, surrounded by scenery and filled with stone buildings. The village offers a church from the mid 1800's as well as a café, a pub and a village shop over 100 years old. Chapel Stile is a base for exploring this National Park, with access to sights and fells worth visiting. You must go to Elterwater and stand on the Skelwith Bridge and take in the views. Nearby there is Ambleside and Kendal, offering views, buildings and so much to do. For you outdoors people, make sure you visit Bowness-on-Windermere, with its incredible lake activities and so much to do, it is perfect for families.
