But leaving the best till last, walking or touring in the fabulous Lake District, with its fells, lakes and tarns is an absolute must, most of which is just a short drive or walk from The Hayloft.

Lindale is in the south of the Lake District National Park, close to Grange-over-Sands and within Hampsfield Fell. It boasts both a village pub and a Post Office. It was warm and comfortable, very well equipped. We enjoyed being there. The only drawback was that it felt a little closed in, especially on the ground floor.

Property easy to find. Parking the car was a little tight, but we managed it! Kitchen had everything we needed. Lounge was cosy. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious. Only couple of things if we were being picky was from a cosmetic perspective, bathroom grouting was dirty and carpet on stairs is worn. We would visit again.
