"A cosy and warm place to stay, just a little dated, and beds could be comfier. Close enough to walk into Windermere for shopping, but bit too far to walk to the lake."

"Enjoyed a lovely 7 night stay at S41245. The location was excellent, just a short stroll into Windermere and walking distance from Bowness. Excellent dog walking in the park over the road. The cottage was clean and cosy and the welcome gift thoroughly enjoyed! It was well equipped for 4 adults. The only slight negative was that al 4 of us found the beds (in the double room and twin room) to be a bit on the firm side for our liking. Would happily stay again!"

"Excellent for a dog!!!Beds too hard for comfort (except single room bed); king size duvet too heavy for comfort; too little space around dining table (we ate most meals in the bungalow); bit thin on teaspoons for 4 never mind 5 people; hedge alongside driveway needs cutting back (difficult getting in and out of cars); shower access awkward, the screen jams - worn seal along top of bath meant water leaks every time shower used; bath mat always wet!; twin room: both windows locked-no keys available/no ventilation; no front door key (health and safety??- no fire exit at front of property) This explains the low score on 2nd category - sorry!!!!In spite of everything we did enjoy our stay, but it could have been better....good job the weather was good!!"

"Nice cottage. Disappointed no WiFi. Size worked for 5 adults but we were out most of the time. You can walk to Bowness and Windermere but may not want to walk back as up hill."

"We loved this cottage which felt like a home from home. Main faults were that the sitting room was a bit cramped with furniture because of the design of the room (hard to rectify), the twin bed mattresses were quite hard, and there was a smoke alarm in the kitchen which made cooking a bit of a challenge... But apart from that, we couldn't fault the property standards and the garden (while not completely enclosed for our 2-year old as we expected) was stunning; we would love to come back. Thank you :)"

"A very pleasant, well presented, well equped and clean bungalow. Gardens at front and back have won awards and in spring/ summer should be lovely. Playing fields just across the road were useful for walking the dog. Would use again."

"We enjoyed our stay, S41245 is in a residential area with off street parking, the inside is very pleasant nice furniture and nice soft carpets. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need to make a meal. The 3 bedrooms are all a descent size with nice bedding and plenty of storage space, it only has one bathroom but there is a shower which is over the bath the bathroom is large and modern. There are lots of dvds to watch and a good selection of books. If the weather is nice there is a nice garden with seating and a table and chairs. S41245 is near to the shops and restaurants and a good base for getting around the Lake District. Very enjoyable a real home from home and we would definitely like to come back in the summer."

"Sadly lacking many things particularly wi fi no dishwasher tumbledryer dining area cramped in lounge only four chairs meant for five grossly over priced for what we had I have stopped in holiday properties for many years this property had the least home comforts and the most expensive I have paid"
