This larch clad, single storey property boasts a beautiful veranda commanding breath-taking views of rolling countryside. Accommodating six guests in three en-suite bedrooms, Strawberry Lodge is the perfect base to enjoy all that Rutland, Leicestershire and the surrounding area has to offer. Situated in the middle of a working farm of 200 acres, with mixed produce of sheep, arable, geese and turkeys for Christmas, you are well away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy this wonderful county with its many attractions.
Central to four market towns – Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Uppingham and Oakham (all of which are within 10 miles). Also just 10 miles away is the city centre of Leicester with the National Space Centre. The nearest village is Billesdon, just 5 minutes in the car and has a wonderful village shop, doctor’s surgery, post office, two pubs, an Indian restaurant, church and community centre with tennis courts. Rutland Water is just 12 miles away, where you can sail, cycle, bird watch, fish along with enjoying a super aquatic children’s play area.

We had a lovely stay at Strawberry Lodge. The lodge was perfectly located with glorious views of the countryside. It was very well equipped and the beds were so comfortable. We all enjoyed very pleasant long weekend and would love to visit again. We enjoyed days out at Stamford and Rutland Water.

Great communication, lovely hamper, amazing views, clean property, good price. All excellent and we had a great time, the only constructive feedback I'd give is to update some of the mixing bowls and cooking utensils as we did a lot of cooking but sometimes the kitchen was missing certain bits. Obviously a very minor thing and to be honest most people wouldn't even notice! Would 100% come back again! Thanks guys!

Wonderful place to stay and suited us as a group of friends perfectly. Each bedroom was ensuite and wonderful views from every room especially the lounge where we were lucky to watch a glorious sunset on our first evening. The combined kitchen, diner, lounge was good for us as we could chat whilst preparing meals. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Indeed, everything was to a high quality and the lodge was exceptionally clean. Also, very effeicient heating, we were warm and cosy throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet, so good nights sleep was had.
