    Robert – 6 Oct 2019
"A pleasant place to stay, a bit like staying in a stately home, the owners are very helpful but not obtrusive, there is a local shop and a pub which unfortunately is closed for renovation and due to re open in December, the village is an ideal base for touring Rutland, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire."

"Lovely house, high quality décor and good standard of equipment in the kitchen. Particularly appreciated the range of DVDs, CDs, books and board games available and the amount of cupboard and worktop space in both the kitchen and bathroom (so many cottages expect you to balance a weeks worth of toiletries for a couple or family in a space no bigger than the top of the toilet cistern or (worse) on the floor - no such problems here).Very comfortable bed and lots of room in the rooms.Lovely garden and patio area - which in the high summer we would probably have taken advantage of.It is fairly central for a number of local attractions and also for venturing further afield. Such a pity that the pub in the village has now closed down. The pubs in the surrounding villages just a bit too far to walk to. But some very nice walks round and about."

"We really enjoyed all the character, the antiques, the aga, the pretty garden and our friendly hosts. Great Easton and the surrounding villages are picture perfect. Good restaurants a short drive away."

"Beautiful house, warm, comfortable and well appointed. Owners were very friendly and helpful."
    Faith – 25 Jan 2019
"This is a lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location and with very welcoming owners. We arrived 7pm on a Saturday evening, and the 'meet and greet' was great! There are numerous things we really liked. The cottage is very spacious and very peaceful - you can even hear the resident squirrels going about their work!We both loved the antique 'vibe' and the kitchen was fantastic with a gas Aga and masses of space. The location is lovely with a small local shop (the pub was closed) and plenty of walks nearby. The price was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay, which included a mixture of work and pleasure. Lots of loo rolls, lovely large beds that were comfy - fantastic. The bathroom is fully equipped, and the water was piping hot so this was fab, too.If I'm being honest, there were a few things that didn't quite meet our expectations and although very minor things, they are easily sortable and therefore can be rectified with very little effort. There were a couple of light bulbs that didn't work in the lounge area. The sink in the kitchen was dirty - something had been used in the sink prior to our arrival and then not wiped/cleaned afterwards. There is a large net curtain on the back door for privacy purposes, which had a large brown stain on it, which I am sad to say I noticed straight away. This is me being very pedantic but it didn't look great, to be honest. The last thing we noticed was although eggs, tea and coffee were kindly provided, there was tiny quantity of milk in a small jug. It was enough for us to make one hot drink, but how much does it cost to buy a pink of milk rather than offering a tiny amount that just frustrates the guest, particularly is you arrive late following a day at work? Finally the wi-fi connection was poor. While certainly not the fault of the owners, as our visit was work-based for a good part of it, this was very frustrating. My suggestion would be, if not already explained in the cottage description, it should say "wi-fi is available but subject to a varied connection." Realise some folks don't want wi-fi, but then again, it's something that today is almost expected, like it or not. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the owners left us to our own devices, which I always appreciate. We would stay again if we were in the area."

"We had a very comfortable two nights at the Coach House, sadly we didn’t have more time to explore the area."
    Victor – 7 Nov 2018
"We had a pleasant short stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would definitely go back. Loved the area."
