About this property

Situated 6 miles from the stunning Norfolk Coast National Landscape, this lovely property invites larger groups of up to 10 guests to get together, socialise, and make endless memories in wonderful surroundings. The village of Walsingham benefits from its own farm shop, wine bar, country pubs, impressive architecture, and the stunning Walsingham Abbey. Nearby, discover Holkham Hall (6 miles), a grand estate with expansive gardens and activities to fill many afternoons. Holkham Beach (9 miles) and Wells-next-the-Sea Beach (6 miles) are yours to explore for sunny afternoons filled with sand and sea; the latter is famous for its rows of distinctive beach huts. Along the coast, head to Blakeney Point (8 miles) for a seal-spotting expedition and perhaps a boat tour. Further inland, there is plenty to see in the local towns of Burnham Market (8 miles) and Holt (10 miles), and there is an impressive number of historic houses in the nearby vicinity.

Original wooden beams lend this handsome Grade II-listed house an authentic farmhouse feel. The perfect eclectic blend of modern and traditional décor and warm earthy tones create an utterly luxurious place to unwind. The house features over 60 pieces of art which adds to the charm and relaxing atmosphere. Step into the hallway and make your way to the boot room to stow coats and boots away. From here, navigate through the property into the large lounge/diner, with a sociable dining table and comfortable seating options positioned around two wood burners and a Smart TV. In preparation for mealtimes, head into the kitchen, where you’ll also find an additional, slightly more casual dining space. The first of five zip-and-link super-king-size bedrooms is on this floor, with its own en-suite, and there’s also a shower room downstairs. Make your way upstairs to find the remaining four bedrooms, along with two more en-suite bathrooms and a final, beautifully presented family bathroom.

Step out into the Mediterranean paved courtyard garden via French doors in the kitchen, which offers a sociable outdoor dining table that’s made for entertaining alfresco along with a ceramic Kamado charcoal BBQ for summer grilling, you will also find a charming cottage offering extra accommodation for 2. This cottage can only be secured when booking the main house.

Beyond the courtyard is a large garden and lawn space with a charming trellis that children will love to play around.

I had actual goosebumps when we arrived at Robin Hood Cottage in Little Walsingham. From the moment we stepped through the door, it was clear we were somewhere truly special. It felt like walking into the pages of a beautiful interiors magazine, only better because we got to stay the night (and then some). We stayed for a family reunion, and honestly, none of us wanted to leave, there were even whispers of chaining ourselves to the Aga. The interior is absolutely stunning, think Soho House meets Firmdale Hotels, with a dash of countryside chic. Every room is thoughtfully styled, blending vintage charm with modern luxury in a way that makes you wonder if the owners moonlight as interior designers for glossy magazines. The beds are enormous and dangerously comfortable, you may find yourself accidentally napping through dinner plans. Wrapped in sumptuous linens and fluffy towels, we felt like we were staying in a very stylish cloud. Our hosts were wonderful, friendly, responsive, and the kind of people who clearly care deeply about the guest experience. The welcome pack was incredibly generous and every little detail inside the house is curated with love and intention, right down to the heavenly scents floating through each room. Outside, the enclosed courtyard garden is a dream, perfect for sipping wine by the fire pit or showing off your BBQ skills (or pretending you know how to light one). There’s even a lawned area beyond where kids can play. Little Walsingham itself is like stepping into a postcard. A picturesque and peaceful village steeped in history, with medieval architecture, a rich pilgrimage past, and that lovely, slow pace of life that makes you want to ditch your phone and go full Jane Austen. It’s also perfectly placed for exploring the best of North Norfolk, from windswept beaches and salt marshes to quaint towns and excellent pubs. All in all, Robin Hood Cottage is a magical gem. We laughed, we feasted, we relaxed, and we’re already plotting our return.
