Treat a mixed group to a luxurious getaway in this five-star bungalow. Located between the sea and Cockermouth, you’ll have access to some wonderful places during the day, and then return to a property that’s modern, comfortable, equipped with a hot tub and on a farm with alpacas.
Walk into the house, through the hall and come to a lounge. This social area is lovely for relaxing after a long day. On one side, you’ll see a gas feature fireplace, and on the other, there’s a corner sofa with two huge windows offering beautiful views. Everything is decorated in shades of grey. Continue through to the conservatory/dining room, which gets lots of natural light, then head on and into the kitchen, which is gleaming, modern and well-equipped. The property has three bedrooms: one king-size, a double and a single. Finally, there’s a family bathroom with a deep bath and a walk-in shower. The garage has been converted into a games room/den with a ping-pong table. You’ll have a gorgeous garden, featuring stretching lawns and enclosed by a hedge. At the end, there’s a picnic table, swing set and area for BBQs, and closer to the house you’ll see the hot tub and nearby rattan furniture. The garden borders a field where pygmy goats and Shetland ponies graze.
Cockermouth, 5.5 miles from the property, is a lovely market town with plenty to keep everyone entertained. If you’d like a hearty meal and don’t fancy cooking, take a look at one of the many nearby pubs. You can learn about the local history with a trip to Moorforge Viking Settlement, 3.5 miles away. Alternatively, head to Allonby Beach (6.5 miles) for fun in the sun!
