Drive 17 miles to Pooley Bridge to go canoeing or kayaking or to board a steamer on the beautiful lake of Ullswater. Visit Aira Force Waterfall, 24.5 miles away, while you are here. Lowther Castle and Gardens, 13 miles away, is known for its striking ruins and exquisite gardens.

Follow the ramped access up to your private front door and enter to find yourselves in a wide corridor. Leave coats or boots and head into the lounge to your left. Take a seat on the soft sofa and find a film on the Smart TV. Lay a fire in the wood burner in the beautiful stone fireplace on chilly days. When mealtimes beckon, make your way down the tiled corridor, which has lovely, wooden panelling, to the dining room. This leads into the kitchen, which has stylish taupe cabinets with light work surfaces. Whip up tasty dishes in here for your friends and family as you gaze out across the rolling countryside. Open the door to the garden on fine, sunny days. Stairs from the dining room lead down to the basement where the games room is situated. Challenge each other to darts and table hockey matches before making your way off to bed. Climb a short flight of stairs to a landing with the family bathroom and a picture window framing views of High Cup Nick. Ascend the full staircase to your lovely bedrooms, a king-size, double and bunk bedroom.

Spill out into the garden on warm days. Dine out on the patio, which is backed by an old stone wall. There is private parking at this property for two cars.
