All the lodge bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard and come well equipped with good sized wardrobes, dressing tables, lamps, mirrors and hairdryer. The above deck hot tub provides the perfect elevation from which to view the sunlight casting its rays across the fields and the Wild Boar fells beyond. The peace and tranquillity of the cabin’s location contradict its close proximity to the village of Ravenstonedale and the historic market town of Kirkby Stephen. As you sit in the hot tub or the comfortable porch furniture, the only thing that threatens to disturb your peace is the sound of birdsong, including that of the curlew from which the lodge takes its name.

The cabin is set within 7 acres of landscaped grounds, with picnic benches and rustic seating, a barbeque area and a children’s play area with swings and a slide. The grounds include a wildlife pond, a small stream, mature woodland and a large field where sheep and spring lambs can be seen, plus bird tables/feeders offer bird watching throughout the year. You are sure to spot red squirrels, wild rabbits or some other wildlife varieties on the site during your stay. Pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
