Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a wildlife pond and small stream in the shared grounds. This property has a natural water supply via borehole.. Mallard Lodge has spectacular far-reaching views over 7 acres of private rural grounds and the surrounding fells which can be enjoyed from the covered hot tub, patio or gardens surrounding your real wood cabin. All th lodge bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard and come well equipped with good-sized wardrobes, dressing tables, lamps, mirrors and a hairdryer. Mallard Lodge is situated close to the wildlife pond so you can be sure to see plenty of red squirrels, mallards, herons and rabbits as they visit this beautiful area. Children take delight in running around the grounds, exploring the private woodland and playing on the playground and parents can look on with drinks on the porch whilst enjoying the sunset over the fells. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome too, a separate outhouse is available for your dog if so desired. Mallard Lodge has three comfortable and stylish bedrooms which can sleep up to six people.

The cabin is set within 7 acres of landscaped grounds with picnic benches and rustic seating, a barbeque area and a children’s play area with swings and a slide. The grounds include a wildlife pond, a small stream, mature woodland and a large field where sheep and spring lambs can be seen, plus bird tables/feeders offer bird watching throughout the year. You are sure to spot red squirrels, wild rabbits or some other wildlife varieties on the site during your stay. Pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
