With four bedrooms, sleeping up to six people and the option to bring your dog, this property is perfect for families wanting to holiday together. The cottage is part of a small courtyard development and is positioned next door to the owner's home.
On the ground floor, there is a well serviced and spacious kitchen, which is perfect for preparing meals to enjoy in the separate dining room or on the outdoor patio seating. Then you can relax and unwind in the quiet and comfortable lounge with cosy seating and a TV. The dining room is spacious and homely with traditional cottage decorations and wooden dining table. There is one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, one twin room and two single bedrooms on the first floor. There is a shared bathroom on the first floor.
Outside there is also storage space available for bikes. The tranquil village of Newby is surrounded by beautiful Lakeland scenery and views. Newby is surrounded by and within easy reach of all the major attractions of Cumbria. It is just 8 miles from Penrith and Appleby and just 21 miles from Keswick. Keswick will give you access to everything you could need during your stay from outdoor shops to supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.
Ullswater and Haweswater are just a short drive away, giving you access to many great walks. From these locations, you can enjoy lakeside walks or easily head up into the hills for more challenging walks. The bathrooms had nowhere to put toiletries etc The mattresses were uncomfortable , the pillows and duvets need replacing due to stains etc . The owner was a nice man, but I think was to elderly to be on top of it all.

We didn't want for anything and the cottage was so comfortable - especially after long days exploring the area. Steve, the owner, was so welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend Springarth for anyone wanting a base from which to explore the stunning location.
