Exquisite Beadnell Cottage sleeping up to 6 guests

S49992 is a lovely single-storey detached cottage situated in the picturesque coastal village of Beadnell. The accommodation enjoys a homely ambience and is tastefully furnished throughout.
Beadnell is a popular holiday destination and offers local facilities including family-friendly pubs serving good food and a local village shop all within easy walking distance from S49992. Access to a sandy bay speckled with rocky outcrops is close by and leads to a long sandy beach that stretches to Seahouses, 2 miles north. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach Beadnell Bay is renowned for is around a half mile away: a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Beadnell Bay can truly be described as the jewel in Northumberland’s seaside crown; idyllic for a romantic barefoot stroll in the sand to listen to the waves lap against the shoreline and inhale the invigorating sea air.

Two miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands (famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony) depart regularly from its harbour. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops with horse riding, fishing and golf on the links close by being only a sample of the many amenities available in this popular location. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic fortress and commands the power and presence of the seasoned television setting it regularly becomes. Holy Island, the birthplace of Christianity and site of Lindisfarne Castle, can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle, which was the film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy. Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe!

S49992 is an excellent choice for those seeking homely accommodation giving easy access to explore the 20 miles of heritage coastline recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 300 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

Nigel – 9 Nov 2018
"Great house and lovely village. The house had everything we needed and more. We have a 2 year old and there was toys and games there along with high chair, kids table and childrens books. The place was very clean with parking. The pub (Craster Arms) is 500 yards away and does fantastic food. Cafe across from the pub is lovely as well. The beach is really good for a walk. We loved the house, village and area. Will go back."

"We had a lovely time a S49992. It's in a great location. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only thing I'd comment on is the cooker. The oven was very slow even when on full heat."
PRYOR – 30 Mar 2018
"Lovely homely and comfortable stay at S49992."
Zoe – 17 Nov 2017
"S49992 was a fantastic, comfortable place to stay, we had everything we could have needed, the garden is nice and secure for dogs, so great for those wanting to take their fur babies with them. Beach is only about 300 yards away, shop is about 200, and the pub at the other end of the road is also a very short walk and also dog friendly. S49992 is a great place to stay for anyone looking for a really relaxing stay away from more busy areas. We hope to stay again."

Neville – 6 Oct 2017
"Not enough room in cupboards for our food ,had to clean the grill before using,no curtain/blind in bathroom ,had to clean bath before use muck on bath bottom and scum mark halfway up ,one+point brill shower."
Kathleen – 15 Sep 2017
"We had a very enjoyable holiday. Cottage needs a bit of updating but very comfortable."
Joanne – 25 Aug 2017
"We were looking for a dog friendly accommodation and S49992 is the most dog friendly cottage we've ever been to. Our four legged friends were made welcome and had a very comfy stay. Really couldn't fault the cottage. Beautiful. Beadnell is such a lovely village in a fantastic location."
Lilly – 4 Aug 2017
"S49992 is in a fabulous location, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach & shop. The cottage itself was a perfect size, with a lovely enclosed back garden. Unfortunately, this lovely holiday home was let down by its general cleanliness."
MORLEY – 14 Jul 2017
"Nice cottage in brilliant location. Brilliant for families especially those with dogs. Has an enclosed rear garden so can let dogs out without worrying. Nice touches like childrens toys and books keep the little ones happy and smart tv and internet for the older ones. Nice walks nearby and some good beaches. Looking forwards to going again!"
Marina – 7 Jul 2017
"We loved our stay. Everything we needed and more. Decoration lovely. House clean and comfortable. Garden well secure."
Christina – 16 Jun 2017
"We would stay again at S49992 Cottage. The cottage homely, clean and well equipped. With nice touches like Wifi, toys, DVD's, loads of toilet rolls in bathroom, hand wash at sinks and cleaning products. The secure rear garden was a bonus with having three dogs. Another nice touch was a water bowl for them. The village shop is well stocked with friendly staff. The chippy has gone since our last visit to Beadnell, but was hardly ever open so not surprised. Seahouses is a short car journey so what you can't get locally you can there. The Craster arms dog friendly pub is well worth a visit. Wondeful food, friendly staff, but do book as it's very popular. The unspoilt beach is 10-15 min walk or drive to it as the car park was free. June 2017"
Susan – 19 May 2017
"Had a lovely stay shame about the weather. Would definitely recommend this accommodation."
Iain – 31 Mar 2017
"Great cottage in a great location. Well equipped and spotless. Only 100 yards from the village centre with pub - Craster Arms, bistro and hotel. Shop and beech 100 yards the other way! Great for dogs with an enclosed rear garden."
Sue – 10 Mar 2017
"This was like staying in someone's home, as if they had just stepped out and given you the keys, rather than just a place which is rented out 100% of the time. Well equipped, comfortable and a great place to stay."

"Really nice cottage."
Chris
"Not the most luxurious cottage we have stayed in but adequate for a couple of adults and children. Think that it would be a bit claustrophobic for 6!!Close to beaches and local pubs, café and shop but note that the fish and chip shop closes for the winter and this was the beginning of October!!!Good dog friendly accommodation and comfortable once we had mastered the heating and hot water systems!!"
Jill
"Lovely location central to some interesting and pretty scenery. Inside the bungalow the bath needs replacing and a little dusty around the ornaments but otherwise a nice place. The BBQ also needs replacing."
Ian
"We chose this property because it was one of only 2 in the area that accepted 3 pets. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk from the Craster Arms and the SaltWater Cafe, both of which served good food, and close to a fabulous beach a 10 minute walk away or an equally good beach that you can walk to Seahouses a walk round the town and then back to the beach after the Harbour and on to Bamburgh.the Italian restaurant in Seahouses was very good, but we didn't rate the takeaway we had from the brasserie. The property itself is ok, the TV & Cooker could do with replacing, they worked fine but are very old. We found the beds to be uncomfortable, its difficult moving from a super king bed to double, but that's not the properties fault (the only reason we wouldn't return though). A shaving point in the bathroom would be useful. The listing doesn't mention Internet & Dishwasher which the cottage does have, so that was a nice surprise. The owners were exceptionally helpful in finding and promising to return my autistic sons teddy bear"
