Luxury Beadnell Cottage sleeping up to 8 guests

S14520 is a beautiful detached property nestled in a peaceful cul-de-sac within the heart of the welcoming coastal village of Beadnell. Furnished and equipped to a very good standard this deceptively spacious cottage oozes the epitome of style. The large open plan living space centres upon a welcoming woodburner ensuring S14520 is a cosy choice regardless of the season. French doors lead to a fully enclosed south-facing patio area; an idyllic spot to dine alfresco. The contemporary dining/kitchen areas are very well equipped. With four spacious double bedrooms and four bath/shower rooms too, S14520 is a particularly suitable choice for extended parties. Two of the bedrooms (one king and one twin) are located at one ‘wing’ of the property leading from the living room, whereas the other two bedrooms (one king and one twin) are at the other, leading from the dining area – making this unique layout ideal for the gathering of families and friends alike. Beadnell is a popular holiday destination and offers local facilities including family and pet friendly pubs serving good food all within a gentle stroll from S14520. A small sandy bay speckled with rocky outcrops is close by and leads to a long sandy beach that stretches to Seahouses, 2 miles north. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach Beadnell Bay is renowned for is a mere 10-minutes walk: a popular destination for water-sports enthusiasts, including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Beadnell Bay can truly be described as the jewel in Northumberland’s seaside crown; idyllic for a romantic barefoot stroll in the sand to listen to the waves lap against the shoreline and inhale the invigorating sea air. Two miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands – famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony – depart regularly from its harbour. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops with horse-riding; fishing and golf on the links close by being only a sample of the many amenities available in this popular location. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic fortress and commands the power and presence of the seasoned television set it regularly becomes. Holy Island – the birthplace of Christianity and site of Lindisfarne Castle – can be seen from the unspoilt golden, sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy!). Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden – a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Beach 400 yards. Shop 300 yards, pubs and restaurants 400 yards.

"Lovely bungalow, spacious and well equipped. Catered well for 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs! Very clean and parking space for 3 cars. 10 minutes walk to local pub. Lovely patio area, secure for dogs and children. Would definitely stay again."
Sheila – 24 Aug 2018
"S14520 is just a lovely place to stay. This was our third visit. A lot of thought has gone into furnishings and decorations. The beds and sofas are super comfy, unlike some places where we have stayed. Little touches like hooks at back of bathroom doors, plenty of shelving in bathrooms. Mirrors in each bedroom. Sounds simple, but after staying in places where there is no mirror to use when drying hair, nowhere to put shower things and worst of all a sheet covering up aged and broken down settees! This is quite common! S14520 has everything and has just been refurbished. We thought it was nice before but it is now even a nicer place to stay. We have already booked for next year. Beadnell is a delight, we never tire of it, and handy for so many places."
Paul – 17 Aug 2018
"Excellent location and such a spacious warm and homely home."
Hannah – 3 Aug 2018
"Our 3rd year staying here and yet again it’s been absolutely perfect.Love the new decor and kitchen. Even found a slow cooker so I won’t have to bring my own next time! This place has EVERYTHING!The owners are really friendly and very professional. Anything you need, they will sort it ASAP. We love the complimentary hamper on arrival. It’s a really lovely touch.Everything you need is in walking distance. The Craster Arms is a family/dog friendly pub that does fantastic food and is a 2min walk away. It has a lovely beer garden as well.We love the children’s park opposite the WI hut. It keeps the little ones entertained for hours and has a really nice atmosphere to it.The beach and harbour is just 5/10mins walk and you can spend the whole day there. We like to walk to seahouses along the beach. It only takes 20/30mins. We simply can’t fault this cottage! Ammeneties and location are absolutely spot on! Made so many amazing memories here already and there will be many more made in years to come.Thank you so much S14520. Perfect."
Debbie – 27 Jul 2018
"A lovely place to stay. Very comfortable. Any problems we had were sorted out quickly. Great to have so many ensuites. Some of the showers were more tricky to use than others. Electric shower was great though. Great access to the beach and all the local areas. Coop in seahouses only 5 minutes up the road. I would definitely like to return to this house and this area. Would be good to state that there are a couple of steps to get into the property though. My husband even used the bike!"
Carolyn – 11 May 2018
"A very spacious and well equipped comfortable bungalow, suitable for an extended family group. Excellent accommodation, easy walk to the coast, good base for exploring the largely unspoilt coastline of Northumbria. Local pub but car needed for grocery shopping. One member of our party has very limited mobility, the bungalow was suitable for his needs."
Sandra – 23 Apr 2018
"Loved it!"
William – 13 Apr 2018
"Cottage really comfortable, perfect for our party of four adults and four children.Open living space is ideal for families and four bathrooms a bonus ( no queing). The patio area had plently of space for swingball and it would be ideal in summer for a bbq.Easy access to the beach and pub.Would certainly reccommend this property."
Judith – 24 Nov 2017
"S14520 was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. The area was nice and quiet, and the bungalow only a short walk from the sea.A great base for visiting all this beautiful area has to offer, with a local pub serving great food a few minutes walk away. The bottle of wine, and local biscuits provided on arrival were a nice touch, and I'm sure we'll be back to visit again."
Maureen – 29 Sep 2017
"Had a wonderful holiday bungalow was perfect for our party of 7 adults plenty of room and at last an ensuite bathroom that was a great size Location was very quiet with easy access to all attractions. Great pub just a short walk away (craster arms) but make sure you book as it can be extremely busy Wouldn't hesitate to recommend"
OLWYN – 22 Sep 2017
"What a hidden gem !Four lovely bedrooms with all you could need. Three ensuite bathrooms with delightful walk in showers, what a joy, and that one bathroom with a tub 'cos there is always one who wants to soak. A great dining table for food or more for us, for cards and games and just reading the paper, and a kitchen again with all you could need, even a Tassimo coffee machine. We never really got to use the lounge or the TV because the kitchen/diner suited us.We can heartily recommend the Craster Arms in the village for food, but there are plenty of others around. We would also recommend the boat trip to see the seals, and even if no puffins this time of year, we saw more sea birds than I could name. I swear the seals had their own timepieces to line up and watch the people in the boat - an amazing number of seals and what fun to see them getting comfortable on the rocks. Anwick gardens is another recommended place, you would need plenty of time to see both castle and the gardens. And don't forget the drive to 'holy island', just don't be late or else. Northumberland maynot be a first choice of UK vacation, but if you do decide to spend the time there then this bungalow is well worth a consideration. Have fun !"
Valerie – 15 Sep 2017
"Perfect. Fabulous bungalow, everything you need to make your stay perfect. Comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms. Large lounge with great sofas. In a great location, everything in the village is within a few minutes walk and easy to get to many places of interest, such as Alnwick, Bamburgh, Berwick and Seahouses. That impressed we've already booked again for next year, and we've never done that before !"
Susan – 1 Sep 2017
"A beautiful cottage in a fab location. It had everything that we needed. Will definitely recommend."
Sheila – 18 Aug 2017

Susanne – 11 Aug 2017
"An amazing holiday. Great cottage for a family holiday. All equipment required. Cleanliness was a very high standard. Quiet location but all activities required in easy reach. Would definitely recommend to others."
Hannah – 28 Jul 2017
"This is the second year we've (4 adults 2 children under 5) stayed at S14520 and it was absolutely perfect yet again (despite quite a few downpours of rain!). The cottage is clean, spacious, well layed out and well equipped. Cant ask for anything more. There's a lovely arrival pack with biscuits and wine and you get nice courtesy phone calls to make sure you have everything you need and know where you are going etc. Its a 5 min walk from the beach, shop, cafe and pub and is situated close to the main road that leads to Seahouses, Bambrough, Alnwick etc all in short driving distance. We love this place and I would certainly recommend it to anyone and will be back to stay again :o)"

"The cottage was amazing and had everything you could ever want we would love to go there again and would recommend it to all our friends,we only marked the cleanliness down a couple of marks as there was dust on skirting boards and some other places, normally not a problem but i had my auntie with me who is on kidney dialysis so we have to be extra careful, only fault we had was that the bidet in the double bedroom off the living room dripped all the time in the comment book it had been mentioned a number of times and was still happening."
Barbara

"A spacious modern bungalow on a small estate only 10 minutes walk from rock pools, harbour and sandy beaches. Apart from minor maintenance issues, this was an excellent base for our Northumbrian coastal holiday."

"All I can say about S14520 is it was ideal for my family, the set up of the property suited us with 5 adults and three children. Good base for seeing the area not far from beach with free car parking. needed because of walking disability. Clean Comfy living room, nice big yard for kids. Best bit was not having to wait for a shower as each room has en/suite. Hope to return next year."
Kenneth
"It was ideal for an extended family of 8 especially having 4 en suite bedrooms. The only problem we had was the limited capacity of the freezer. It was certainly one of the better holiday properties we have visited."
Richard
"Really well presented bungalow. 4 great bedrooms, and 3 with en-suite. Lovely kitchen, large and easy to use. The house is in first class decorative order, and gives a real luxury feel to it. It has a lovely private outside area, where we were blessed with sunshine. The house is at the end of a cul- de -sac, making it very peaceful. The location is brilliant. A couple of minutes away from the beach, and shop, and close to both pubs."
