It has a pretty, enclosed courtyard garden to the rear and direct access onto the quay walls and the tidal estuary in front. Ideal base to explore this region with Edinburgh and Newcastle each around an hour away. Holy Island, Alnwick Castle and beaches at Scremerston and Coldingham are all within easy reach. "wonderful apartment . All rooms were very big and well furnished . Wifi was good but could do with signal boaster .Near to high street with bars and restaurants ,Would recommend Bridge street.Great for walking as right on sea front ."

"The S14521 scores 10 out of 10 for us. It is a lovely period property, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The apartment is just a few minutes walk to the shops, but situated in a peaceful, quiet spot. The garden is a delight, and equipped with plenty of garden furniture. There is a parking spot for one car, complete with a permit . I have slight mobility problems, so the fact that it is all on one level, with grab rails in the bathroom, made it ideal for me.We received a warm welcome on arrival, and would not hesitate to recommend this property. We shall certainly return."

"This is an excellent apartment to stay in in Berwick! The accommodation is great and very well equipped, however, what would make it even better would be an extra toilet in either one of the big walk-in cupboards in the kitchen or as an off-shoot of the main bedroom. I realise the building is very old & probably listed, but a small electronic toilet would be perfect (and wouldn't require extensive plumbing) - after all being capable of sleeping 5 people but only having one toilet (& it not being separate) could create problems, especially if 2 families are sharing! Apart from that it was almost perfect - thank you!"

"We had a very pleasant and enjoyable few days stay; interesting town to explore - plenty to access on foot, with ample cafés etc. We expect that it will be worth another visit. Good, standard, supermarkets but unfortunately there seem to be no central grocery stores easily reached on foot."

"Had a lovely time...the building is Victorian and certainly the apartment was bigger than expected.Mrs Fagan was very nice lady and suggested some nice places to visit in the area....Eyemouth was lovely fishing port and brought some large pieces of Haddock to bring home on last day...Back to my appraisal of the apartment leaves not much to say...It was warm and spacious with added bonus of Jacussi bath which the wife used everyday....highly recommend this holiday home..."

"My wife and I recently stayed at S14521 for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival we were met and shown around the property and given some advice on the local area and events happening over the weekend.We were very happy and pleasantly surprised with the property and its facilities. It is a ground floor apartment (of a good sized three story terraced house) well equipped, clean and spacious (pictures don't do it justice) with nice high ceilings. Great value for money a similar price would normally only get you a small 'cosy' place.The apartment has a nice enclosed garden with plenty of furniture which we didn't really utilise this time around but could quite easily imagine ourselves relaxing there should we return again.Location of the apartment is excellent, perfectly situated within Berwick only a couple of minutes walk from the town centre with some great restaurants and pubs/bars near by.Wouldn't hesitate to stay again should we find ourselves holidaying around the Northumbrian coast."

"We recently stayed for a week at Wellington Terrace and unfortunately it's what happened after our break that has drastically reduced my overall rating for our stay.The apartment itself is wonderful, comfortable and well designed. We stayed with our two children and my mother. The luxury of having a garden and seclusion was stunning and the location could not have been better.I would like to give some feedback however on customer experience and treatment. As we arrived, we were met by a lady (unclear if she was the housekeeper or owner) who ushered my children back out of the house so she could show me around which felt a little unneccesary. At that point, I was asked to pay a £50 deposit for breakages etc which I duly did and was receipted for however my host was very clear to point out and labour that she would go through the property with a 'fine tooth comb' when we left and our deposit would only be returned if she was content. We were anxious then that there wasn't going to be a happy ending.Mid way through the week, our host came to check that we were happy and my mum confirmed that it was lovely although one of the legs of a dressing room table chair had come loose as she moved it to retrieve a lost earring and our host made it clear that had to be our fault - we hadn't been anywhere near it.Fast forward to the end of our stay, and after thoroughly cleaning the apartment we received photo's after our departure saying we had damaged a wipe clean table cloth (I couldn't prove we hadn't so had to accept) and a picture saying someone had been sick in the master bedroom and they owner would be obtaining a quote to clean it. I was horrified, having hoovered every inch of the carper before leaving and then realising the picture sent could not have been the same carpet as it was a different colour, I strongly disputed this. Given the fact my husband and I are senior professionals and I run a house five times this size - I was honest in saying how hurt I was to have the insinuation that I would do such a thing and not rectify it. I received no further response until I prompted the conversation again and was informed that I had been charged for the tablecloth but not the carpet - but no apology or further explanation. It's completely tainted our memory of what had been a wonderful stay. We are now looking to buy a property in Berwick, sadly we won't stay in the apartment again as we look.My advice if you do decide to stay is when the host shows you around - complete an inventory with her and note any irregularities so your stay ends in a better fashion. Such a shame."

"The apartment is lovely and spacious. It is larger than it looks on the pictures shown. We were met on arrival by Aicha who was very welcoming. The bathroom is modern and clean. The bedrooms are large, the only down side was the King size bed is very uncomfortable with springs digging in you which meant we did not get a good night sleep for the whole week and this did spoil the holiday a little, as we are very busy working people and went to get some rest. An investment in a decent mattress would have made a big difference to the holiday. As the Manse is a place of interest we did sometimes feel like we were in a fish bowl as people kept looking into the apartment. Overall the apartment is in a good location. A welcome pack on arrival would have been appreciated."

"The flat is located in a beautiful part of Berwick with easy access to walks along the town walls. It is comfortable with good facilities. Within easy reach of lovely places to eat which are good value for money. Excellent location for exploring Northumbria and the Scottish Borders. Owners might have supplied some bare essentials (e.g. soap and loo roll in the bathroom) so we did not need to go shopping as soon as we arrived."

Only minor downside - could have had a welcome pack of coffee/milk/cereal etc - but we took our own just in case. Overall, would definitely recommend Wellington Terrace without hesitation."

The apartment is extremely well equipped which made it feel like a home from home.I would have preferred a height adjustable shower head and the sink plug was not allowing ease of drainage but otherwise the apartment was of a very high standard."

"Lovely place to stay, went in October was warm, comfey and much bigger than we had expected, the description lists it as having a DVD was actually a Blu Ray as well so a bit of a bonus. Is right on the wall and handy for the town. Lots of places to visit nearby, castles, trips on the boat from seahouses as well as popping over into Scotland. Berwick is a great place if you like somewhere with an Historic feel and the barracks are well worth a visit."
