This beautiful 19th-century former fisherman’s stone cottage stands in an elevated position with commanding views of the harbour. One of a pair, and renovated to the highest of standards, Harbourway makes the ideal location for a family holiday or get together with friends.
    Craster is a popular fishing village, noted particularly for its superb kippers - there is an on-site shop at the famous Craster curing sheds where fish can be bought, and there is a good seafood restaurant within the village. Situated on a 20-mile stretch of breathtaking coastline, which has been designated as one of the nation’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the coastal walk from Craster to the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle is a must, and has been recently nominated as Britain’s most popular walk. Fishing, bird-watching and golf (the course at Foxton is reputed to be the best in Northumberland) are all available locally.
    A short drive away lies Alnwick Castle - home to the Percy family, and the second largest inhabited castle in England. Featured in the Harry Potter films, this enchanting and magnificent castle is filled with an array of decorative and fine art. The famous Alnwick Garden, together with the largest treehouse in Europe and stunning water gardens, make a good day out for all the family. Embleton Bay is close by and is said to be one of the most romantic bays in England. Shop and pub 220 yards.

    "Lovely house in a great village on the coast. However, house looks a little tired in places, maintenance not being kept up to tip top standard and BBQ desperately needs replaced. This could be a gold standard house and has been in the past but feel it’s not quite up to the premium price being asked. Would return to Craster and Northumberland for sure but attention to detail required to maintain high weekly summer premium."

    "would be better if there were a bath/shower room downstairs (room to include a shower in the downstairs toilet?) - particularly if older guests with reduced mobility. It was a bit complicated working out which switches operated which lights. But overall a lovely house, enjoyed the sun deck in the morning in particular, loads of space, brilliant location"
