"Fantastic cottage in a lovely location, very well equipped, lovely location. Characterful pub nearby with vegan and vegetarian options."
Anthony – 15 Sep 2018
"S69493 is in a lovely location, ideal for walkers etc. The cottage is very cosy and well looked after. We were unlucky weather wise as we had a few days when it was raining but we still enjoyed staying in Kielder."
Rebecca – 7 Sep 2018
"Beautiful and very comfortable cottage. Lovely to have the real fire. Excellent location. We had a very relaxing break."

"Beautiful cottage, modern, well positioned to explore the region. It has a dishwasher and a wood/coal fire for heating. Calvert trust 12mins away (archery etc), waterside Park 10 mins (birds of prey, minigolf, trampoline cushion, pub and other water activities), observatory (although as close as you can get still 15 mins drive due to it being a gravel track rather than a road) Owners are lovely, just talk to them if there is anything you need. There is WiFi in the cottage, but no phone signal in most of the region."

"S69493 was a home away from home, high quality furniture and finish. Can’t fault it as a holiday cottage, we were very comfortable as a family of 5. A couple of points to note, Kielder is in the middle of nowhere, loads of walking and cycling etc in the area but if you plan to visit places out of area you will be doing a lot of driving. It takes a good 90 minutes to get across to Alnwick Castle for example. Also if you have young children take some blackout blinds with you as the blinds are thin. The Waterside Park down the road has great amenities, children’s play areas, bird sanctuary and a shop but generally you’ll need to bring what you need with you! The cottage is fully equipped for cooking, we ate most evening meals there. I’m sure we’ll visit again."

"S69493 is a lovely house with a "wildlife garden". It was lovely to see all the birds and hear them twittering each day. The owner is very nice and helpful but I feel we were mislead when we booked as I always ask for a pub and shop nearby. The shop sells nothing but papers, out of date milk, bread a few tins and masses of second hand books. I would recommend driving a few miles to the Boat Inn on Kielder Water for a good meal and decent beer as we found the Anglers nearby to be unwelcoming and dismal the three times we used it. A little dog runs about the place, jumping on the seats, is allowed behind the bar and I presume also in the kitchen!!! The three "real ales" we tried were not good and we settled for the cider. The surrounding area however is outstanding and if you like walking or cycling, this is the place to go."

"Lovely cottage, brilliant location, already booked for 2018."
Paula – 2 Sep 2017
"Lovely place to stay. We all enjoyed our stay and sure we will be back someday. Cycling was brilliant. Comfort at cottage was very good very warm. Only put the fire on to dry some clothes a little quicker."
JAMES – 7 Aug 2017
"Very nice cottage, seems recently improved - very clean and neat. Perfect spot for exploring Kielder."
Tracy – 28 Jul 2017
"Kielder is a fabulous place to visit made even better by this gorgeous cottage. We loved watching the birds and wildlife every day through the patio window. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and modern and was a real home from home. Highly recommended!"

"S69493 was superbly equipped and was furnished beautifully. Located close to the Keilder forest and reservoir and therefore ideal for walking. The hosts provided a really comprehensive tourist information folder that was really helpful. It was delightful to watch the birds in the garden."
Michelle – 6 May 2017
"A lovely week away. I didn't want to come back. The house is on a very quiet street. A bit of bird food in the garden feeders soon attracted Nuthatches, Siskins, a Redpoll and an unbelievable number of Chaffinches. The house has everything you need but bring some food with you as the nearest large food shop is a good drive away. If you want to get away from it all this is the place."
Karin – 6 Mar 2017
"We really enjoyed our stay here and had everything that we needed for a relaxing weekend. The garden was lovely with lots of wildlife and birds, and there was also a shed to store our bikes. There was only 2 of us but there is plenty of room in the 3 bedrooms for a family or friends. The owner was also very friendly and came to visit to make sure that we had everything that we needed and were comfortable. If you stay here just make sure that you have everything that you need in terms of supplies as the local shop is very limited. The local pub also does some quite nice and reasonably priced food."
Wendy
"A fantastic cosy clean cottage. Kielder is a great location for exploring all the spots around Kielder Reservoir. The owner met us and had kindly sorted out the garden shed so we could store our 4 bikes securely. Definitely hope to return. I did wonder about the mention of the water supply being from a spring, but the water tasted great and we would not have noticed if we hadn't been told. Water pressure still good for the shower too."
Ross
"Welcoming cottage to return to after great days out in the fielder national park."
