    Linda – 28 Nov 2018
"S49592 was extremely comfortable and well-equipped. We only stayed for a weekend but would have loved to have stayed longer! The cottage was cleaned to a high standard and it was lovely to arrive to find a welcome pack of food essentials (bread, butter, milk, eggs etc.). The information provided was thorough and the cottage owner was always willing to answer any questions we had.I would definitely recommend S49592."
    Brian – 7 Oct 2018
"Excellent cottage. Everything spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owner, Rachel, has thought of everything you might need, even to the superb welcome hamper on arrival. She was very helpful and friendly. The cottage is very well placed for exploring Northumberland's coast and countryside and Newcastle's Quayside is not to be missed, especially at dusk. We did not find the A1 to be an issue. All our party look forward to returning to this lovely cottage!"

"We have just spent a 4 day break in Northumerland at S49592,it is a beautiful house in which to make a base for visiting the attractions of the area.Places such as Amble,Seahouses,Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island are all within a 35min drive.S49592 is immaculately kept and equipped by the owner Rachell, who supplied a very nice welcome hamper for our arrival. Our only regret was that we could not have spent more time there but we shall return."
    Sheila – 12 Sep 2018
"Went for the great north run but would love to come back to the area when we have more time and explore this area. Would go back to this cottage anytime!"
    Caroline – 2 Sep 2018
"A super cottage with everything you would wish for to make a relaxing break what ever the time of year. Set on great location with with a good mix of attractions and days out exploring the Northumberland countryside within half an hours drive. The owners of this lovely cottage live within the grounds Rachel is an excellent host with lots of local knowledge which was very helpful."
    James – 29 Aug 2018
"We recently stayed at S49592 for a week with our two young children and the whole experience from start to finish was second to none. We thought that Rachel was an absolute pleasure to deal with - from the courtesy call we received a day or two before we arrived, to the final chat just before leaving, we were made to feel very welcome, with nothing being too much trouble. We were very impressed with the cottage when we arrived. It was luxuriously presented and very clean, and a little welcome basket of goodies was waiting for us - a lovely touch. The cottage was very well equipped with a nice selection of board games, dvds, and books - something for all tastes! As far as the location is concerned, we found the cottage to be well placed for trips to the seaside as well as numerous local attractions (Alnwick Castle and gardens being within striking distance) while larger towns like Morpeth and even Newcastle are sufficiently close for a trip on a rainy day. We would undoubtedly recommend to friends and family, or anyone fancying a trip to Northumberland in a relaxed location, with a lovely base in which to stay."
    Lisa – 15 Aug 2018
"Fabulous cottage, clean, modern with everything you could need. Very comfortable, a home from home. Welcome hamper provided by the lovely owners. Location is great for most attractions, lovely sandy beaches 15 mins drive. Thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be going back."
    LANGFORD – 30 Jul 2018
"This is our second stay at S49592 and once again we were delighted to stay there. The cottage is immaculately clean, comfy with everything you need including a welcome hamper and it just feels like home. The owner Rachel is extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful, once again a wonderful holiday which was also helped by the glorious weather!"
    Cliff – 13 Jul 2018
"Lovely warm welcome from the owner Rachel, with a very nice, comprehensive 'welcome' pack waiting for us on arrival. The cottage is well appointed and well located for Alnwick, and coastal areas. lots of English Heritage and National Trust properties in easy reach. Hadrian's Wall is further afield but still in easy driving distance. There is a pub nearby within walking distance but for everything else you need to drive. Even though you are close to the A1 we did not find this a problem."
    John – 1 Jul 2018
"A charming, comfortable, cosy, clean cottage beautifully furnished and decorated throughout - the beds were ultra-comfy and it was lovely not having any wi-fi thereby enabling us to enjoy the outdoor space, read and play card games in the evening. Upon arrival we found a lovely welcome hamper on the dining table from Rachel (the owner) who also kept in touch with us by email during the week prior to our booking. The Oak pub is just down the road (within easy walking distance) - has recently been taken over, provides live music on Friday evenings and really good quality food and beer.An excellent area for exploring the fabulous Northumbrian coastline, National Trust and English Heritage properties nearby. Morpeth is a jewel of a town for all generations, and Newcastle quayside is not to be missed. Overall - a truly lovely property and one to return to again and again."

"An amazing cottage, superbly equipped & beautifully decorated."
    Lindsay – 25 May 2018
"This is a beautifully presented property in a quiet location some 6 miles from the county town of Morpeth. It is situated close to all the main areas worthy of a visit. The owner, Rachel, lived adjacent to the cottage and met us on arrival. She had provided a lovely hamper and was extremely helpful throughout our 4 day break. We will certainly use this property again and recommend it to our friends and relatives."
