The property lies next to a main road, giving easy access to Amble, which has a good selection of eateries, an award-winning ice cream shop and highly acclaimed fish restaurant on the harbour. Enjoy boat trips to Coquet Island, visit the bustling Sunday market or simply sit and watch the day’s catch being brought ashore. It is just a short drive from Warkworth with its hillside castle, river walks and pubs, and Alnmouth is only a little further with its picture postcard estuary, sandy beach and Ballamory-style houses visible from the road. Alnwick, with its famous castle and gardens, is 9 miles. The Heritage coast with miles of sandy beaches and castles can be followed directly from Amble. Seahouses, Bamburgh, Craster and Beadnell are about 30 minutes away. The vibrant city of Newcastle is 50 minutes.     "We have stayed at S14732 3 times now and love it so much we have already booked for April and Sept 2019. Compared to all the other holiday let we have been to we have found this house more homely and comfortable. The conservatory is so good to relax in and watch the many different bird that live in and around the fab big garden. It does have a busy road but as the house is side on to it and there are tall hedges all down the side we don't notice it. The log burning stove is wonderful as are the bedrooms and lovely large dinning kitchen. Such a great central location to visit, Anwick, Alnmouth, Walkworth,Craster etc"

    "S14732 is in lovely Amble, walking distance to the Main Street which has plenty of shops & lovely marina, but the house itself is on s very busy road & quite noisy with traffic, also next to a school so very noisy again at school times, the cushions, throws etc have seen better days, upstairs nice clean comfy beds, we were left with 1 toilet roll, 1 hand & 1 bath towel each, but as there was a washerdidnt really matter, had to buy toilet rolls, washing powder& other cleaning stuff, we were left a lovely welcome pack, tea/coffee milk, fruit& flapjacks & gravy bones for the dog, the reason we wouldn’t stay again is the traffic noise"

    "An ideally situated property for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline. The property is comfortable with a lovely enclosed rear garden which was perfect for our two dogs. Unfortunately, I found the steps to the upper floor both narrow and steep, having had both hips replaced I did struggle to climb them. The owners, Julie and Bill are very nice people, and very keen to ensure that your stay is a good one. Other than the stairs, we had a great time."

    "A lovely cottage close to the centre of Amble. A good welcome pack on arrival. Just a little short on cutlery and plates so we had to run the dishwasher after every meal.Amble is a good village with a couple of mini supermarkets and lots of boutiques in cabins on the waterfront. A good centre for the beaches, Alnwick and the Roman wall. Would definitely go again."
