The cottage is ideally located to enjoy Buckinghamshire’s lovely countryside walks and bridleways, and makes an ideal base for walking, trekking and cycling holidays. The farm is in close proximity to the historic Ridgeway Trail and is not far from the start of the ancient Icknield Way at Ivinghoe Beacon. There are several stately homes and National Trust properties in the area; Chequers, the Prime Minister’s country estate is close by, as is Great Missenden, with its curving high street of half-timbered houses and Georgian shops, and the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. Marlow and Henley provide attractive access for riverside walks along the Thames Path. Aylesbury and other large towns including High Wycombe, Milton Keynes and Windsor are all less than 1 hour away. There is a fast 40-minute train link from Amersham into London’s Marylebone Station for those wanting a day out in the capital. Shop 2 miles, pub ½ mile and restaurant 1 mile.

    Jill – 16 Nov 2019
"Lovely cottage, cosy and warm. Comfortable beds. Well equipped with the exception of a little shortage of cutlery for five people. Very dog friendly. Beautiful area, so much to do locally plus excellent dining pubs close by.Highly recommended and would love to return. Many thanks to Wendy and Kevin."
    Katy – 6 Nov 2019

    Karen – 22 Oct 2019

    Keren – 23 Apr 2019
"Ideal for attending a family event. Lovely & comfortable, and the garden was ideal."
    Lesley – 18 Mar 2019
"Good quiet location for exploring the area"
    Goffette-Pinot – 3 Mar 2019
"The cottage is well located for whom has a car and wants to visit the Chilterns, Oxford, St Albans, Harry Potter Museum (Leavesden), London (final stop on Metropolitan Line at Amersham), the Thames valley from Henley to Windsor, and all together be in the English countryside. Amersham old town was a nice surprise. The cottage itself is just perfect in all respects (space, cleanness, equipment, comfiness), the owner very friendly. We expected the village of Kingshill and cottage to be more remote, traffic on Watchet Lane can be pretty busy. Pleasant and good pub, The full moon, at Kingshill. Large and modern Tesco at Amersham."
    Katy – 2 Jan 2019
"We spent a lovely few days here over Christmas and the cottage served as a great base for visiting family and friends. A very comfortable cottage in an excellent location- close to our family and so peaceful and relaxing. It was also perfect for for our dog too! We would definitely book to stay here again. Many thanks."
    Anne – 23 Dec 2018
"This was a perfect cottage for us and our dog. We stayed here due to our own house undergoing a kitchen refurb and wished we had been able to book it for longer."
